Really like this car.. Just Can't get past the forty thousand dollar price tag for the hybrid. Still wish they did a non turbo engine as standard

Why doesn’t the back up camera beep when backing up…I just got my wife the 2025 CRV EX & the back up camera doesn’t beep when you get closer to objects when backing up. Is there a way to turn that sound on?

MSRP 32350 and what’s the real price to drive out the dealership?
@WTFCRLT1Ай бұрын
Try going on websites like Truecar, they’ll tell you what the national average discount is, add up your local tax rate and add about $1000-1500 in dealer and registration fees and you’ll have your price. In my area, a realistic otd price would be $34-38k. Anything more and I’d stay away, anything less I’d jump on right away

I would have preferred a 2L rather than the turbocharged small 1.5L engine. The latter is the reason why i am not buyjng it.

Amazing job Will & I'm thinking of buying this.

Get the pilot. Its faster, much more space, and it basically looks the same as the CRV. I have this one and wish i had just gone for the Pilot.
@TeijoKhanfan3 ай бұрын
Wouldn't it be cool if Honda put the 2.0 turbo under the hood? I know that's not really practical, as that's what the Acura RDX is for. Just a thought. Maybe a CR-V Type R? I'm just not a fan of the 1.5 turbo.
@WTFCRLT13 ай бұрын
That would be an awesome idea! Or just slightly detune it so it made 20-30 less HP 👍🏼
@tonyz25513 ай бұрын
Yea i have one. I even thought of that lol. If they made a CRV Type R it would be so sick! The 1.5 “Turbo” is pretty weak. Makes me regret not getting the Pilot instead.

Use the recommended fuel from the owners manual. Lots of people do not understand the difference between 87 and 91 octane fuel. Higher the octane, harder to ignite. That is where compression figures come into play. Aviation planes run 15 to 1 compression ratio requiring 100 octane fuel. Just go by the owners manual for the required safe ratings.
@ELP11252 ай бұрын
Premium gas (or 91-octane gasoline) is designed to fuel high-performance engines. A higher-octane rating means the fuel is better balanced and stabilized against spontaneous combustion, which can cause knocking and damage to a car engine. Not every engine requires high octane gasoline, but many recommend it in cars fitted with turbochargers.
@IWeaselАй бұрын
If Honda said put in 87 do that because this isn’t an Acura it’s Honda although they do make Acura but this CR-V isn’t it so don’t listen to him

My wife got the 2024 honda cr-v LX last year great vehicle not a fan of the cvt transmission but overall I give the vehicle 5 stars for its reliability and spacious interior 6 speaker radio has great sound lots of safety features can't go wrong with a honda

I was surprised at the local state tax office to find out the CR-V LX is classified as a "light truck" rather than as a passenger car. Anything to boost taxes on vehicles, I guess.

Great review! In your opinion, being that you have driven both...which do you think is quitter during hard acceleration as in merging onto a highway? Keep the reviews coming! 🙂

1.5L turbocharged engine just says "I won't last past 100K miles" to me. Especially on a SUV weighing over a ton. 🤦🏾♂️

I wish the standard engine wasn't a turtle. So I keep favoring the hybrid..but Hard to swallow a forty thousand dollar price tag

My 1.6t in my Kia Optima was 132,000 miles when I traded it. It had absolutely no problems. The key is not to gun it like a sports car . And when you do drive it hard let it cool down after parking for a few mins. They will last.

I bought this exact model, color and all about two weeks ago and here is my takeaway. This checks all of the boxes at a price point that is hard to beat, currently. It feels luxurious and comparatively, it is nicely equipped. Sound system is better than the LX, remote start is nice, sunroof, wheels are better and I absolutely love the two toned seat trim. It just makes sense for a daily driver.

What made you not get the hybrid?
@sweetdaddy7719 күн бұрын
@@pepsico815 Well, that's a tough question because I think the Hybrid has it's high points. Honest answer is that it did boil down to pricing and what I was wanting to afford for a daily driver. I also keep my vehicles 10 years plus so I was feeling cautious on the lifespan of the battery itself. Another thought I had was that if I go that direction I really would like some sort of electric or plug-in hybrid (at some point). I figure to give ICE one more round and next purchase, see what the offerings are and technology increases, then go that way. I hope this answers your question.
@pepsico81519 күн бұрын
@@sweetdaddy77Hmmm I didn't realize the battery was so expensive to replace. That and the hybrids don't get a spare tire. Now I'm back to square one, not sure what to do 😢
