This car looks awesome. KIA is really becoming a premium brand. If I needed all that space in a car I would definitely look to this one.

Great work on the review, Lyn. The Mike Danger cameo and the censored puddle at the end gave me a good laugh 😅

I dont know who makes the best car, but i know Kia Makes the best headlight design...that amber DRL is just osssssom.
@ALMX5DPКүн бұрын
Yeah I do like the look, though often have to do a double take at dusk since the design is kinda similar to the newer F-150 Raptors DRL.

@ALMX5DP ...true, I have seen a new Sorento few days back on the highway, it stands out and grab your attention in the sea of other cars.

KIA nailed the design, just to bad we don't really have minivans here in Europe, we don't really have minivan culture ❤😅 Great video

I wished KBB would test the vehicles when loaded as intended. I believe this vehicle hybrid option loaded down with people similar to the Sienna would struggle in a highway trips.

Next time we'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've driven the Sienna fully loaded with 6 adults and everyone had 5 days of luggage. Had no issue passing people on backroads, had plenty of power for daily driving.

How would they control it after being launched?

Always love your reviews Lyn. We actually already bought one in this exact exterior and interior color combination. Why did we choose the Kia? New hybrid gas mileage, fancy inside tech, and wonderful second row premium seats which are going to be perfect for road trips!
@sarabeth8050Күн бұрын
That's a nice car that makes far more sense for families than SUVs. I just wonder how many thousands in sales that Kia missed out on by the silly name. If it was named "Trailpro" or "Ridge Runner", it would sell a lot more because it's all about image when it comes to American decisions on cars.

YT Algorithm hard at work here.. never saw this channel, yet it's proposed after 35min after this is posted lol Now, I thought minivans sucked before.. but honestly, I've been using one at work for years and they're so damn practical. I'd take the gas model though, hybrids are proven hard on engines!
@ALMX5DPКүн бұрын
“proven hard on engines” how exactly?
@BladeDoomer86Күн бұрын
@@ALMX5DP ''Because hybrid engines start & stop frequently, this often results in lower engine temperatures, which in turn can create issues with water and fuel dilution. Frequent start/stops, water, and fuel, can all create problems that exacerbate engine wear. '' - Engineering Explained. They have solutions, but engine failure is a possibility..
@ALMX5DPКүн бұрын
@@BladeDoomer86 @ auto start stop also exists on non-hybrids. Also like you mentioned there are solutions, and I believe one of the takeaways from EE is that it’s really a non-issue (which is further supported by the many hybrids from 20 years ago that are still on the road alongside their regular engine cousins.

Are Kia’s still known to get broken into? Or has this been fixed with the newer line of cars?

If only there was this user-friendly website that you could put this exact question in in the search bar, and click *search* for results.

It looks like you are reviewing two models. One with captain chairs and one with three seats in the second row. Which one do you find more practical? I’m going to test drive one this week
@kbbКүн бұрын
We thought the 8-seat version had more flexibility when it came to seating options. And with the captain's chairs you cannot remove them, so if you wanted to have the van exclusively for cargo that's not an option with the 7-passenger configuration!

I would go for the gas version. The hybrid just adds parts, weight, and future expense. Unless you drive a lot of miles per year the gas savings won't pay for that.

1.6 V4 and combined with electric motor 🤯 Those engines come in small sedans and is not appropriate for a vehicle that size. They could have given it atleast 2.5 V4 coupled with electric motor IMO.

@ALMX5DPКүн бұрын
Wasn’t always a bad word, especially for many families in the 80’s and 90’s. Minivans were the **** back then versus the contemporary wagons and SUVs.
