First thing I would do, would be to paint those dark body panels above the wheels, the same colour as the rest of the pick up. Apart from that, it’s a nice truck, different but nice.

I get the impression you may be getting a Tasman in the future DK the wife seems to be a fan! Great review DumA. The reaction to the fender flares was a lot more subtle than any of the other reviews I've watched but no less cutting "is it supposed to look like that?" Although I've seen aftermarket options at the Australian launch that look a lot better. If it comes to Canada I'll be interested. But those headlights on the extremities of the corner don't look like they'll survive their inevitable encounter with something sticking out of the trail. Hopefully Kia listen to this review and take heed of the public's dislike of haptic buttons.

I agree, the cladding on the wheel well reminds me of the BZ4X which is not a good thing. Maybe if they fixed that it’d be okay. Reminds me a little of an old Landcruiser pickup. I think the interior is good though.

Either front end is inspired on a Tamagotchi to appeal to the asian market or it was purposefully designed to be so controversial to force people to talk about other great features (ie interior, functionality, etc) and surprise us all with an great update in the very next production year to complete the package.

3:37 It's not that big, it's just a mid-size pick-up, like a Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet S10, Renault Alaskan, Nissan Frontier, Volkswagen Amarok, among others.... Strange the central console, it does not leave any possibility to a manual transmission... It may only be oriented to the Yankee public, to compete against the Maverick...

It gave me more the image to compete against a Tacoma than against a Hilux .... To give 2 examples of midsize pickups oriented to 2 different types of public...

@@CarSceneKorea I'm not judging it, in fact I find it attractive. I was trying to see what kind of mid-size truck it would compete against... whether it would compete against the Hilux or the Tacoma section... That both are mid size trucks but clearly they are focused on 2 different types of public... And I give these examples because they are clear examples of the same brand... As it could be a Maverick and a Ranger... I know that the Maverick is a little smaller, but it is focused on a different type of use than the Ranger.
