2025 Knitting Plans

Def going to be doing more swatches this year. I worked up 2 this weekend and have one more planned today once I finish the hem on my Sweater No18. It’s actually getting me so excited to finish up my current projects so I can start some of those. My other goals this year are to also make more knitting friends (in person or online), read more and get back to working out more regularly and work from my stash more. Which o have at least 3-4 sweaters I can do. You actually inspired me when you shared the Rentreé during vlogmas cuz I think I might use it to make a scrappy striped one with all the Suri and mohair I have

This is awesome, thank you for sharing! Definitely hope this will be the year of knitting down my stash, but also of swatching more! Hopefully this will lead to more successful project outcomes. I also share the goal of making more knitting friends online and in person! So happy I shared the Rentrée pattern and you love it, it's such a beautiful pattern! A scrappy version would be so fun!

I’m with you on the Eva and Bookclub cardigans, the Roads sweater and the Dagmar zipper. I just finished the Eva. It was a great knit! I also have the patterns for Bookclub and Roads sweater, but I may not cast them on next. I want to do the Billie sweater now, and the Lana vest by Irene Lin. Gimme all the cables! Will you alternate skeins for the bookclub cardi? You’ll have different dye lots of hand dyed yarn.

2025 is the year of Sari Nordlund for me. I've wanted to make her stuff since before I was a knitter - my Mom has been knitting longer than I've been alive so her Poet sweater has been on my radar for a very long time. I'm just finishing up - I'm on the brim - of the Kuutar Beret, and I've got the Ballard sweater going too. I love how your stash is organized and out for visual enjoyment, I'm sure that will help with knitting it down. I'm also trying to knit down. I've got Lambtown Festival in October but maybe one of the Seattle/PDX festivals too where I'm allowing myself to buy a sweater quantity or things like you said.

What a great story, thank you for sharing! Her patterns are so beautifully detailed and the cable work is to die for. The Ballard Sweater looks like a fun pattern! I hope you do end up making it to one of the PNW yarn festivals this year :)

Ahhh I'm so glad the KZbin algorithm nudged your channel my way today! You have such fun plans, and I just love the way your enthusiasm is showing through :) I'm also considering the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan this year, as well as the Seasons Cardigan (regular instead of oversized though)!

You’ve got some great yarn to work with this year! You should start with the Brume though. I just finished my second one in On Dang DK because it’s one of my favorite things to wear. So cozy!

No joke this whole video is me. 😂 every pattern. The moody yarn pallet. Even the slip over to wear with a turtle neck! I got my turtle neck set and you just shared the perfect V-neck slip over (I do think V-neck is the way to go). The 2025 goals are pretty much exactly the same. I’ll be knitting along with you a couple miles south on I5!

I'm terrible about swatching 😅 You have some great no pressure goals for 2025. I'm knitting on my first pair of socks ever lol joining you for that year of socks in efforts to stash down on some single skeins. I'm all about making more fiber friends always! I'm TrixieStitches on Ravelry. My semester starts January 20th, so I'm trying to take the next 2 weeks to relax and set myself up for knitting and study time management.
