I’m speaking with Fowlers KTM in Bristol to p/x my 2021 KTM 1290SA-R for a new 1390SA-R, 3 faultless years, 20,000 miles, many wheelies, top-speed runs and a few rolling burnouts and it runs like new, never had anything go wrong with it, same with my 2017 1290R, 2013 1190S, 990SMR, 990Adv etc. 57 consecutive motorcycles to date, considering my 58th.

For how big and heavy the bike is, it is a pretty incredible performer on dirt, particularly the electronics .... but boy do big ADV bikes crash hard. I had one and the power was the star of the show for sure, but now on a EXC350F. Probably it is a better bike for someone 6'2" and 260 pounds, than me at 5' 7 1/2" and 170 pounds.

I put 21,000 miles on an 890R, playing dirtbiker, the whole deal. Then I got a 690 Enduro R and it feels like a 75 HP toy. A big dirtbike that flies.

Unreliable... owned ktm and it was fun but spent too much time in repairs. Not many techs in the area makes more trouble. Avoid ktm if you can afford only one motorcycle or have a smaller service budget. Thanks

Am I allowed to say 'It's all a little predictable, heavily edited mush'? Is anyone here really thinking they could do this stuff, or even 2% of it, on their new £20k machine? It's all a little ridiculous really. I really dislike these shot to shot to shot videos. I'll stick with my current 1290 because in that blokes hands I suspect it'll do just the same flips & tricks at half the price. But in my hands....NON 😅 Show us the 390 R - something more relevant and, dare I say it, more desirable.
