Had a 2023 Aviator built to my spec, hybrid in reserve trim. Counted on the many positive reviews of the vehicle coupled with visits to Audi, MB, BMW and Volvo before making a final decision. Have 20k miles on it and couldn’t be happier. Have owned 5 new BMW’s over the last 20 years, including M cars, and have a SL 55 AMG in my garage now. The Aviator is a sleeper in value, at least at 2022 pricing, and I don’t regret for 1 minute stepping out of my comfort zone and buying the American vehicle. Just a stellar value imo.

When I was a young man, Lincoln was a very prestigious brand. If you were driving a Lincoln or Cadillac, you were stylin and profiling. I remember riding in my uncles new 66 Cadillac feeling like the nephew of a king. I'm not sure what happened, but I dont think the respect is even close to what it once was.

Ps I was 6 years old, the leather, smell, quietness, I can remember as if yesterday, air conditioning, power windows and brakes were things not everyone had, it felt special because it was special.

@@jeffamburgey7485 I was born in 1973 so younger than you but a lot of what you said still holds true in the late 70s and early 80s. These cars were a spectacular luxury experience the average cars such as the ones in my household definitely didn’t have leather or air conditioning.

1:13 I just wish they'd put better engines in these. They made the new nautilus look so menacing and then put a slow engine in it. So de salty 😢

My 2020 Aviator is experiencing computer troubles and related recalls and there's limited spare parts to fix them. I haven't been too happy with that experience.

It's def good but like all new luxury products, only worth leasing. These will be a nightmare after warranty expires.

Great review man. The Aviator has caught my eye. But Genesis GV80 is also. Have you reviewed the GV80?

Yes the GV80 is also very nice just be sure you have a quality Genesis dealership nearby to take care of warranty work

Correction just saw your GV80 review. So if dealerships being equal (they are building one in my area) would you go Aviator or GV80 for a daily comfortable cruiser?

@@mig3872Honestly I like both I would just go with the best deal really and a 2025 Lincoln Aviator probably won't have great deals or discounts as it just came out. There seems to be a lot of GV80s on Genesis lots so could be easier to negotiate on. I will say, the nice Genesis models with all the features and V6 gets pricey whereas a base Aviator pretty much comes with everything you need while looking good. See Aronchi on the Leasehackr forum to compare some of his deals

Ive had a 20 and currently a 22. The 20 had some problems with the backup camera and seat control. The 22 hasn’t any problems. Two dislikes. I exhaust is loud. The steering requires constant attention. Both are the same on both.

In past older Lincoln SUV models the tail lamp assembly bordered on hideous particularly the early Navigator models. The rear lights on this model however are very attractive as the CLEAR in the lens provides an upscale look. The FRONT grill and surround is very sharp and distinctive. BTW - we liked your behind the wheel DRIVE reviews much better than your transition to a narrative format. If possible, RETURN to that type of vehicle review content. 🚘🔍. 👌. Many Thanks Yo ! 💯

The plug-in didn’t sell at all so they dropped it for a good reason. I agree with you 100% on the interior. I just test drove the nautilus and the aviator side-by-side and I’m hoping the aviator redo the interior like you said for 2026 to look like the nautilus/navigator then I probably would buy itthat 400 hp V6 is insane
