The new jcw looks good , with a minimalist interior , the harman kardon sound system is really good , you can also trigger a mini animation for testing all the mini sound system and features with spike in the infotainment

They do this stuff all the time if it'll improve the looks. They did competition packages called Red Stripe Racers back from 2015 to 2019 with JCW hardtops, included ECU tuning and everything.

You can get the hardtop in this color as well. It’s a nice color. Would even look good in a Gulf Livery. The Ocean Wave Green is almost blue.

@@TheMINIac I think they look better in person, but still the ones they gave the convertible are more attractive. I went to Baron MINI's website even though I live nowhere near Kansas. It looks like a great dealership. I have a feeling this convertible will sell in no time.

@davcuts2897 it may not sell that quickly. KC is a pretty conservative market when it comes to cars. The manager thinks it’ll sell to a customer in Florida or California like what happens usually. They get a lot of out of state customers. They even work with the customer to ship the car to them. Sometimes the dealership pays for the shipping or negotiates a discount to ship the car.

Yep. That would fit as well. They installed 5mm spacers for additional clearance so you might need a 10mm but on the OE wheels you could do that without issue easily. Aftermarket is sort of a challenge right now. We are slowly figuring out what will and won’t work

I’d like to see 260HP and 300TQ for a factory performance kit. Exhaust is going to be terrible for the turbo.

@ Could you please address these points. I’ve seen one early review that mentioned two important points about the 2025 JCW Hatch: the brakes have been downgraded (4 piston to 1 in the front and smaller) and the DCT Shift Points lagging and not very responsive. So, in your opinion, are the brakes adequate for aggressive driving and is the 2025 JCW DCT still up to the JCW standard. Eager to watch your review. Thank you.

@off-centerproductions6233 I haven’t driven it yet to know for sure. They’re the same brakes on the Cooper S 4-door with JCW package I drove a while back. I was told the original 4-piston were actually considered overkill for the JCW hardtop unless you were racing and as such they decided the single piston were sufficient. The the smaller calipers make it easier to pick different aftermarket wheels for the car now without the massive Brembo’s in the way, I don’t know if removing them is something most customers are happy with. As far as the DCT. In sport mode using paddle shifters I found it entertaining though I miss manual gearbox. Are they adequate for most drivers? Sure. But we all know MINI enthusiasts are a rare breed.

Couldn’t take this one for a drive. Hence why it stayed on the patio. The JCW hardtop that’s a month out will be taken for a drive. Given the sales manager put new wheels and tires on it, and it’s the only JCW convertible on the lot, it’s a bit more rare so putting 6 to 8 miles on it for a video, wasn’t advisable. The car was detailed by the manager prior to being put back in the showroom.

It really isn’t. The more I get in the cars the more I see the attention to detail and the quality. You’re associating simple, minimalist design as cheap. That is never the case. Mid-century modern was simple clean lines yet no one would say that style was cheap.

its a shame for new model,better buy older because its a SAME car for 3x less money.. i don’t get it why they dont put a triangle rear lights like on coupe model and that one pipe exhaust are gross.. ok,the cloth dashboard are been dirty preety fast… idc man…

@@fakeprofile777 the dash can be cleaned with a damp cloth easily. The taillight was due to expense of reengineering. There is the second pipe under the car with a butterfly valve for sport mode if you noticed. The single exit is inspired by the classic Mini.
