Because I already know how negative a lot of the comments are going to be, because that’s just how a lot of people get when talking trades, here’s a challenge. Instead of saying how bad a trade is or whatever it is, I challenge you to come up with your own trades, and post them here. I would love to have some good & productive conversation. Most likely, none of these trades even come close to happening, so I would love to see other trade proposals! 🫵❤️ Also, my potato brain kicked again in and I didn’t realize I had “receive” spelt wrong, which I copy pasted on all of the graphics. I hate myself.

I doubt San Diego would move Luis Arraez, since they did have extension talks as the season ended. However, anything is possible. I think Seattle opens the checkbook and signs Alex Bregman and puts him at second. They could also go with Gleyber Torres on a 1 year deal and try him there.

I think the padres are more likely to try and get Boegarts contract off the books before they trade Arraez. Might take them taking some of the contract but moving the rest too a team like the Mariners or Boston

Cardinals fan here... I like the sonny trade idea, I like the value we get back, though ive heard mutual interest between player and team of keeping him around, we'll have to see Arenado trade: hate to see him go but I agree he's a good fit in HOU. However, I think the consensus around dumping arenado is shedding payroll, so I would imagine we would see HOU eat some salary and MAYBE give a high-ceiling, high risk, prospect Helsley trade: love it, I think he's the most likely to go, most valuable trade asset we have, hope we get some good young arms out of him Great stuff!

Truly believe cards should have sold him off at the deadline when closers were going for an astronomical price and none compared to helsley. Can’t live in the past though, just hope they do the right thing and get a package that’s close to what was happening at the deadline.

Not that bad proposal for Robert. The only problem is that the Dodgers shouldn't trade for him. He hasn't been healthy in the last 4 years, there's nothing pointing in the other direction (he being healthy), he had a good defensive year in 2023 but he's been inconsistent defensively in all the others....and instead of paying 20M in '26 and '27 for a player like Robert pay that to Teo

Instead of Luis Robert to the dodgers, I would try James outman for another half season and if needed get a cf at the deadline such as Robert. Instead I think getting a solid starter or a top tier closer is more likely

Honestly not bad takes. I'd really like my Tigers to actually do something in the trade market this year, maybe trade for a starting pitcher to fill out the rotation. Maybe they could get someone like a Brandon Woodruff or a German Marquez, who will be upcoming free agents next year.

Good trades Robbie. Nothing against Abreu but I think the white Sox will definitely want a more blue chip position player prospect for Crochet. It’ll bring down the quantity of the package but the white Sox are lacking blue chip position players in their system. Campbell or Mayer make sense as the headliner

If that’s all you think the Cards can get for a cost controlled Helsley, then they should keep him. We’ve already tanked enough - we do not need the Yankees cast off prospects that won’t help whatsoever.

I like the idea of Devin Williams to the jays, but I don’t see us giving up 3 pitching prospects when we have a clutter of mlb ready position player prospects to trade from, and not having many quality pitching prospects. I think in many deals we’d send Leo Jimenez as the headliner prospect, as he’s out of options and blocked at shortstop

Why would the Dodgers want Robert? They have Pages, Edman, and others who can play in the outfield already. They'll probably sign Verdugo to replace Hernandez, who will sign with the Red Sox.

I like the Red Sox White Sox trade, but with one caveat it’s a three team trade between the two Sox’s teams and the pirates The Red Sox get Garrett crochet the Pirates get Wilvy abreau And the White Sox get that package of players you just mentioned without abreau Being replaced by Braxton Ashcroft Chicago White Sox need all young high-end prospect players Red Sox need an ace Pirates need a outfielder all three teams win

@ yeah it’s a really solid trade for every team Chicago A top 100 pitching prospect in Ashcroft and position in Arias Plus to other high-end prospects that’s about the most hope to get if you Chicago for crochet

i think with how many prospects the cubs have for INF and OF that are waiting to go to the bigs, nico hoerner and seiya suzuki could be on the block to make room for guys like shaw, caissie, alcantara, etc.

I think the Braves have the capital to pull off a Crochet trade, especially given the news of Strider's opening day status, they'll need someone to fill that spot until then

I think the Giants with Buster get aggressive! After striking out on so many big name free agents in the past few offseasons, they trade for Luis Robert. Whisenhunt, Ahuna, and McDonald for him. Thoughts?

Interesting trades don't think the AL East will be to hot this offseason but the O's could trade for a pitcher (and should if they lose Burnes or keep him too) but Sonny Gray won't be traded cause of the contract they will go for a solid guy

The Arenado trade makes a ton of sense for the Astros perspective if Bregman does indeed walk. I think Bregman has a good chance to return…but this is a great plan B if he does leave. Cole & Blubaugh are good prospects, but I’d be perfectly okay parting with them for Nolan. Good work Robbie

Yeah but the thing is they need to re-sign Tucker tho. I think there will be more chance they just straight up promote Dezenzo than getting another 3B if Bergman leaves. If Houston needs a trade they need to get an outfielder. Their outfield outside Tucker and maybe Jacob Melton is just tragic unless McCormick can have a bounce back season.

Value wise I think it’s right there, but I can see why Abreu as the center piece can be considered light. Very possible the White Sox would want a higher ceiling prospect.

@ he also signed with the Cardinals in large part (it was his main reason actually) because of St. Louis’ proximity to his home in Nashville and is the reason why he won’t waive it. So unless the Braves want him (I believe that’s the only closer team) I think it’s extremely unlikely.

That Crochet trade idea is a silly overpay. Breslow would be cheered for getting Crochet and booed for the overpay. The Yoshida deal maybe possible, but it would be an ugly trade to swallow.

Absolutely not a silly overpay. It is a slight overpay value wise , but the fact that you wouldn’t have to give up any of the top 4, while also getting rid of a lefty bat is an absolute win.

If Boston incluides Arias (18) & Céspedes (19) in the same package for Crochett, that would be a massive overpay considering Abreu is the key piece. Top 4 is untouchable unless for a bonafide superstar. I'm okay with the Yoshi one, as a fan, I just want him out. God... our farm is stacked with offense

I disagree with that being a massive overpay. Both have good value, but Arias doesn’t have much track record, which limits his value at this point, while Cespedes was injured this year. This package as a whole would be an overpay which I think will happen because of the competition for Crochet, but I wouldn’t call it massive.

@@rhyde I don’t really see the Dodgers trading one of their hottest OF prospects for an OF coming off a relatively weaker season to his respective standards. They seem to have a plan, Mookie moving back to infield likely means Dalton Rushing & Andy Pages see more time in OF (& obviously Teo if he’s resigned). Edman is also good for another year, and given his production from the postseason, would be somewhat counterproductive to just replace him with (although alluring) a struggling player. Given how much the Dodgers were reported to have discussed various trade scenarios at the deadline, i’m pretty much certain there are certain guys they don’t want to move on from (and shouldn’t). Guys like Zyhir Hope, Josue de Paula, Joendry Vargas, etc.
