Washington got a steal in round 2 last year in CB Sainristil. Then they traded picks for Marshon Lattimore. Drafting a CB in round 1 rather than an Edge or WR is clinically insane.

Lattimore hasn't even played a down for the Commanders yet. He can be released after the 2025 season where he will be approaching 30 and he will cost $18 million. Sainristil can play both outside and in the slot. Revel coming off the ACL injury will likely need a year to develop, so this is a play for the future because that's how the draft works. This pick is quite literally not insane.

You know what the fun thing is about position rich classes? Those positions will be available on Day 2. Revel is the better pick in terms of value at this juncture. I just explained the Lattimore contract to you as well. Good teams use the draft to keep a strength a strength especially when the team is overachieving.

As a Browns fan, it drives me nuts seeing every mock take a lineman. None of these guys are bluechip and have questions. The line while aging is still fine and can be plugged up via FA. They truly lack a rb and its why they have no run game. Limited speed and playmakers on offense. Why not get a bluechip player in Jeanty. A line doesnt add wins to the roster that a skill position player can. Trust me they had Joe Thomas, it didnt matter.
