Putting Beamer at a 2 is the most tone deaf thing I've heard about south carolina in 2025. Yall talked about the transfer portal and teams losing more than they gained, yet South Carolina went out and retained every single meaningful player that isnt off to the draft. (And added several former 4/5 star players including Air Noland) Beyond the obvious big names, look at what the oline has now vs what it was when Beamer started. The cubbard was completely empty, average recruit was a very low 3 star. Now it has 4 and 5 star freshman and sophmores all over the depth chart. Few of them are going to be juniors next year which is when you start to see returns on the oline. Offense is going to be a lot different when Thompson, Tree, Anderson, Brubaker and Pringle are the starters with experience.

He is too friendly with the players, most of Sabans recruits ( the top ones, anyway) are gone, and the guy just is not that good of a coach. We saw it this year, when he couldn't develop a decent running back, and when he refused to sit an obviously struggling milroe. That mess may go over well out west, but it will not here. If he loses more than 3 in 2025, he's gone.

DeBoer won that game against Texas last year on the back of a Michael Penix who BALLED TF OUT. As a Texas fan having gone through the coaching carousel, I dont think he is the right guy for that program. I say this because it does feel like a "culture" problem. Oklahoma didn't have a REAL OC last year. They'll have one in 2025 along with an experienced QB, a better O line, and that Defense will be even better.... Oklahoma should be a 10 win team in 2025. Even with last year's team, the unreal rash of injuries on offense is what killed Oklahoma's ability to score or move the ball on offense last year. In 2025, with a Competent offense to compliment their hard nose defense, Oklahoma and Coach Venables will be just fine and will be a playoff team in 2025!
