I don’t think they solve much of the MPG. Why most of the KZbinrs don’t speak up about MPG? The average mpg is 15.6. So it is not surprising

I've got the 2025 Platinum which is basically the same minus the brown seats. This truck is not career ending for the big 3. I like it, but the Rams and Fords I've had were finished more cleanly. Also the Ford Bose and the Ram Harmon Kardon systems are both better. They cost about 10k more for the same options, so if that's a big deal for ya I could see picking the Toyota. I did it bc I got 0% financing. It's a great truck, but you could argue the big 3 options are better for a slightly higher cost
@efrenmoncada380216 күн бұрын
Toyota doesn't give 0% financing.. don't know about your claim :). And your argument vs the subject is no, not a career ending because of a better audio system ? Really!
@billiondollardan16 күн бұрын
@efrenmoncada3802 look up Toyota direct on Morse road in Columbus ohio. It's not financed directly through Toyota, it's with whoever they used. And yes, the Fords and Rams are nicer with better audio

Spun bearings and $30,000 engine is an UPGRADE? MAN,what is wrong with folks today? Toyota gets so many to lick its boots!
@kmose0808 күн бұрын
I’m not licking Toyota‘s boots. I don’t give them a pass for any of their bullshit, especially the Tacoma. I would never have bought the first iteration of the Gen 3 Tundra, or any vehicle that’s all new. I like to wait for the kinks to be worked out. Considering this is a 2025 and they’ve worked out most of the kinks. I wouldn’t have a problem buying it. It’s $15,000 more than my truck was in 2016. Considering inflation and the amount of upgrades from this old outdated Gen 2 I have, I wouldn’t have a problem paying that.
@kmose0808 күн бұрын
It just because I say I want it doesn’t mean I’m going to buy it. My 2016 only has 100,000 miles and it looks brand new and has a lot of mods. I’m definitely keeping it for eight more years or so. Maybe if they come out with a mid-generation update, and it’s worth it, I might pull the trigger.
@jeanclaude70187 күн бұрын
@@kmose080 They really have not worked out the "kinks," if a blown $30,000 engine can be called just kinks. '24s are still blowing, and Toyota has been very vague about the problem. Experienced mechanics have repeatedly said that the "debris " story doesn't hold water, ans I have to agree as one who has done my own mechanical work for 40 years. Some of the main bearings now have superceded part numbers, yet Toyota is very quiet about that. I want to see 5 to 10 years of real history on these things. If they melt down outside of warranty, they're going in the junkyards as mechanical totals, because the insane cost of the engine job will be worth more than the depreciated vehicle. These are really disposable trucks, and made for those who trade in regularly, not long term durable goods. I don't believe that avoiding first years should be necessary if the manufacturer does their R+D before going to market, as Toyota CLAIMED it did on these new ones. I clearly remember a Toyota engineer going on record saying that it was fully tested to be as durable as the old V8! Seriously, what a lie. Folks always give Saint Toyota grace on their 1st years, but how does Nissan release a new model like Frontier without these constant issues? And yes, everything but the chassis itself was new, and it's hard to mess up a frame ( unless it's junk like the old rusty Tacoma frames). I have an ancient 87 Hardbody with 430,000 miles. Those didn't have 1st year issues either. I recently used it to drag home a 20' RV, partly just to see if it would, at 430,000 miles. This is how things ought to be built. I just cannot handle how folks accept today's sick prices and crap quality as to be acceptable as "normal." I'd keep your older solid truck, but that's just me. Most people are drawn to new stuff as a necessity.
