i feel like what makes workwear so appealing is that it's regarded as something you could wear universally; (city, outdoors environments, etc) whereas japanese techwear would be a lot more awkward looking in those settings so i feel like seeing that, especially in the city, is gonna be a lot more uncommon than workwear because it's a pretty good balance of not doing too much yet still having a nice fit
