Question, I am new to the WIFI bridge world so still learning. I thought you had to have a router connected to the slave bridge unit in the woods in order to use the WIFI. It appears that you may be using the WIFI directly from the slave unit alone. Can you confirm. Thanks

There is no need for a router on the slave unit as it functions as a router itself. You can attach one if you like, if you wanted a better router, but it is not required.

Not clear how you're covering 7-8 acres of land with "Internet" , yes you're sending the signal from the Barn to the Tree but thats point to point its not WIFI , how are you getting WIFI coverage?
