Great review, as always! Pleasure to watch. Thanks!

Love your videos as you literally point things out. Night videos are my faves. The V60 does let you disable auto-start/stop (try putting the shifter into manual mode). The tailored dashboard is actually stitched and high quality also. It's been a fantastic vehicle for us. The B&W sound system, full nappa leather, passenger memory, massage, and a climate system that rarely requires adjusting make Volvo stand out among the competition, while being understated. Exterior design is timeless. Paint quality on our 2022 has been flawless with a solid clear coat. No mechanical issues either. Bought out the lease.

The start/stop can also be disabled by turning the car off you duffus.....who the hell wants to drive in the manual mode just to turn that shit system off that should have an off switch like 99% of other cars? Totally absurd solution.

Nice detailed overview. A few items I noticed. @8:20 The cameras on V60CCs have always been offset like that (we have 2015). Causes no issues that I am aware of. Doesn't need to be "upgraded". @4:18 an I4 mild hybrid will give you much greater acceleration vs a V6 of comparable hp. A V6 has 2 more cylinders.... that's 2 more sets of valves, etc. So "complexity" is arguable either way. @21:18 No, the 48V battery doesn't "step down" to "run everything". There is a separate 12V battery for the accessories. And the 48V level does have a bearing on your driving if the battery becomes drained -- it will have difficulty starting the engine and accelerating. @31:00 The sunvisor not extending far enough to cover the window has been an issue with the V60 for at least a decade. @38:30 change your driving mode to sport and you'll find the acceleration to improve dramatically.

There is no sport mode anymore. Volvo made this engine so it learns your style. If you drive it like it should be in sport mode.. it’ll mimic that. If you drive like a grandma,.. it’ll feel like Econ mode. Also you can manually shift. You can also start it off in 2nd or even third in manual mode, yeh it’s not bmw 335i fast, but it’ll get up and go if you know how to use the engine

When you “shift” into manual, the shift timing changes. Additionally, there’s a menu option that allows you to change modes in general. Tjat is where you will also see the Polestar option if you purchase it.

My 5th and current Volvo is the V60 Polestar. If they ever make the V60 cc available in the plug in hybrid I would have it in a minute as I prefer the cc for higher ground clearance and overall appearance. Also note that it is closer in price to mine than I thouhgt it would be. Thanks for the review.

With the engine start/stop. If you have auto-hold enabled, just release your foot off the brake and it will restart the engine at stop lights. Thats what I do in my V60. You can also be in manual mode to prevent the engine from shutting off, but I feel that that's not consistent.

IMHO in B5 (mild hybrid) start stop is not an issue. It's flawless
@chadhaire171127 күн бұрын
@@AJ32845 bullshit..it is not flawless, a pain, and can't be turned off.

A stupid idea that is just as annoying as the system itself....there should be a kill switch.

Great presentation. I was surprised that the presented car does not have a place for a cell phone. I have a Volvo V60 cc B5 which I bought 2 months ago and it has a dedicated place for a cell phone with wireless charging. It is in front of cup holders where you have 12V socket.

Thanks for another great review Mike. I will always have a soft spot for Volvo. My very first car was a 1966 122s. Bought it used in 1971 for $900 and drove it for 30K miles and sold it for $500 dollars. Loved that car....BUT the tranny was going (it was an automatic - one of their first I think). Keep up the GREAT work.

You forgot to mention the upgraded polestar optimization. When that mode is on it doesn’t turn of the engine. lol he missed that unfortunately.
@MikesCarInfo3 ай бұрын
I didn't forget. Sport mode is all it is. Diminishes fuel economy and gives a less-smooth driving experience. I prefer to be comfortable when I select "Comfort" drive mode.

i hope we will se a kia ev 6 facelift night video i would love to se how they look during night
Enjoyed the video, but would recommend to avoid filming in a shaded area with a sunny background, the camera was incapable of compensating for this situation, hence the very dark appearance within the car, but to make it even worse you left the roof shade closed for most of the video making it even darker in appearance. You chose to test this V60 CC without doing anything remotely offroad ! No mention of the extra ride height as a result, driving down a highway isn't a real test of the cars all-round abilities, you may as well of had the standard V60 for that which would of been slightly more economical, because of not having the 4-wheel drive system to cope with ! The auto start-stop feature can be overridden by putting the car in Auto-hold and release the brake, this enables the engine to start and run the aircon while stuck in traffic, I'm surprised you didn't research this before making the video, instead of constantly moaning about a problem that doesn't actually exist !

Thank you for you feedback. I don't like to use Auto-hold, I prefer to drive normally.

I double checked the video and the interior shots were properly exposed. You may need to adjust your brightness setting on your device.
