Bobby's singing voice still sounds remarkably smooth after everything and all of these years. He's so natural and comfortable on stage before an audience. Every member of New Edition has a special quality, but Bobby always stood out with his charisma and easy charm.

I don't think you guys fully understand that stage was bobby life all he new. If it wasn't for that stage we would have lost bobby long time ago. Now he is humble mature man that overcame those demons. I understand we all must go through our trials and tribulation in order for us to grow why we go through it. Well done bobby

He was clean. This is the time he has his reality show. He did fall off a couple times. Due to the passing of his parents. But mostly he abused alcohol then. All he's been through it's amazing he's still standing. The loss of his grandma, 2 friends, mom and pops. Then Whitney and Bobbi Christina. He suffered a stroke that has effected him physically. You can see it in his dance moves now. But he is improving. His voice is coming back and the weight dropping off. He's blessed because the stroke could've paralyzed him. Stop criticizing him non of us walked in his shoes. He's genuinely a good guy. He's just misunderstood. The media only showed the negative. They never showed the good he has done. From giving money to strangers no questions asked. Paying peoples rent. Bobby had money without Whitney. Actually he had more cash than her in the bank. That's probably why Tommy was against him combining it. He may have been financially better off. Do research before speaking. He loved Whitney until the end and still does. The media and Houston family did him so wrong. I can say he loves all his kids. He wasn't a deadbeat. Even when he had Landon he provided for him. Most young brother's don't. Give him some credit. He cleans up his act and people continue to bring him down, why???? Disguisting!!!

I actually was at this show. Bobby is one of my all time favorites artist since I was 5yrs old. I'm 40 now. My boss did all the promo photography backstage for Bobby. Unfortunately Bobby actually was infact not sober this night whatsoever, but his performance was still incredible. In 2024 he looks to be in a great place in his life. His music is very special to me, it had a major impact on my life and his struggles I shared as well back then. God Bless.

I'm assuming this video was around 05-07 around the time when he finally kicked the illegal drug and narcotic habits. I saw an interview with him talking about him "Recently kicking the habit" and his hair was like that and he was still kinda slim like this. And his voice is a little more intact in this than now. He probably was going through his last year of marriage with Whitney around this time too which was on record for being turbulent especially in the last few years of it. Now his voice sounds like his throat is charred in gravel now. He was trying to really get his career back together and recovered around this time. Poor guy. He always was my favorite member of NE. Still is. I luv ya Bobby. Next tour I'm going to see him whether he's solo or with NE. I'll see Bobby alone I don't care. That's how much Bobby and NE is worth it. Bless him.

Every year in Hawaii since the early to late 80's and likely still going on, all the High School kids from every school has the opportunity to compete at their schools to win a talent competition. 90's Tender Roni won against all the other schools' winners and got a record deal (grand Prize). They were on Boomerang soundtrack, had no idea they are still performing since I haven't heard anything since Boomerang. The gal sitting there didn't sing so I have no idea who tender Roni is, a group or the lady singing along to Bobby at the Mic. When Whitney had given birth, BB came to Hawaii for a concert, she performed Something in Common with BB and he had his children and mother all seated on the side of the stage. He loves his kids so much, despite not having been very good at child support. Considering he supported Whitney even if she had her own money, she out spent all his money and when he left he knew he wasn't ever going to come back. He had signed a really bad prenuptial. What he had belonged to Whitney and what she had belonged to only her. She died broke unfortunately, the 20 million was a loan from Clive Davis, or an advance to get her singing again, but smoking crack and cigarettes coupled with alcohol will ruin anyone's voice.

This is a case of what we call an atmosphere of acceptance. This video shouldn't have never been put up here because this was Bobby in his darkest moments. I'm a big Bobby Brown/New Edition supporter but no one seems to hold Bobby accountable for his actions, mainly to himself. His physicality, his voice and his overall delivery on that stage is not the Bobby we're accustom to seeing. Very sad, I am really hoping he can get back to some portion of his prime even at the age of 54. By dropping the weight and exercising his body.
