Patrick, my dad is gone too. He was a good man. He taught me many things. The very last thing he taught me was "You're never too old to do a little growing up" i was lucky to have a father like him.

Take some time. everything has revolved around one thing for a while, your emotions in a holding pattern, and suddenly it stops, you need time to process it all, grieve, breathe, and let your brain reboot to your new situation. I'm sorry you lost your Dad, but from what you've indicated it was time. Much respect to you for being his caretaker to the end.

Yes autism is very different from person to person but I do feel like I have grown to embrace mine and i hope my kids can do the same. I constantly remind them that being different is alot of the time a good thing and there's many things we can be good at or even better than neurotypical people. Trying to be optimistic about everything is something that really helps.

Almost everytime I talk to anyone I will not understand facial expressions and will think back to myself and wish I could change what I said to that person. And I can't stand small talk I don't understand saying something to somebody else that doesn't mean a damn thing you know. And as far as lying and manipulating people I will never understand the need for that I'm not saying I've never lied before but I hate to do it I will avoid lying at all costs. I can barely talk to another person so the fact that people can manipulate another and think that clearly in a conversation blows my mind❤ Happy holidays man

Sorry to hear of your loss Patric, most of us have been there but it does not make it any easier, my dad was quick but my mother lost her mind and it was painful. I know it not the right time but I disagree about fracture mechanics if you understand what the rock is lightly to do it can save a lot of the trial and error period, you are well past that and now use muscle memory, but the lack of knowledge would have cost you in the early days.

I am sure you have many things moving through your mind at the loss of your father. I will not say I am sorry. He couldn't continue the way he was; it was his time to cross over. Tincture of time will help you with the grief process, that and knowing that you were a good and faithful son during your father's illness. 🙏💔🙏 21:48
