Happy birthday and happy new year Pat, it was a good video, informative and very funny, with an extra bit of philosophical poetry, I personally appreciate your barking and I think there is a valuable treasure of experiences, thoughts and critical humor. I respect those who think otherwise but I think they have the option to turn off the sound. 🦈🔱

I had to stop the video to comment. Thank you for sharing that poem. It really hit home, and at the right time. My ex is texting me, and wanting me back, while I'm watching this. Everyone that cares about me, is glad i left her. And she's trying to pull me back in. And even though i know better, i was considering it. And then you hit the nail on the head. Wow, just wow. Thanks Patrick. As i get older, i believe less in coincidence.

Great video content as always! And I enjoy a good poetry reading, too. I'll have to dedicate this little poem I wrote to you(and all the knappers out there), Patrick. Happy everything! Lo! modern man, With skill to hand, So may he neatly knap, The choicest stone, To hunt the land, And pray it never snap!

I bought the wife a new car today. Fully loaded leather 2015 Chevy Malibu LTZ. Silver with black leather interior and dark woodgrain accents inside. Very nice care. She works hard so I felt like she deserved it. I sold my old c10 and im gonna do some work to the 2004 ExtCab Silverado 4wd she was driving and im gonna drive it now. Needs some fuel lines and a brake line replaced.

Hi Patrick, I like your yap knapping and smack talk.......SQUIRREL!..... and your humour. I never thought about first peoples not having a pot to pitch in. I also have a habit of putting things where I won't lose them, and then only finding them if I'm looking for something else. Did you get a chance to watch the video of the levallois cache in Texas, and if so, what are your thoughts? Happy Birthday! Thanks for bringing us along

@@KnapperJackCraftysince I’m still watching. I had heard that ant venom was collected by placing points into a liver and leaving it on an anthill. Idk if this is accurate. Read it a long time ago. Same reading suggested rotted meat and also rattlesnake venom. There is a lot of hemlock around me and I would be surprised if it was never used.

i gotta disagree with native americans not having parallel shafts i know that the coastal tribes such as the makah, quilute, anf hoh people would fell large cedars and make arrows from split cedar boards. i also seem to remember some eastern tribes using splits of oak, hickory and ash to make arrows. also why wouldnt they shape a shoot to be parallel? maybe im wrong and its only an eastern phenomenon but ive studied western and great plains arrows with no discernable tapering to the shaft.
@KnapperJackCrafty
@KnapperJackCrafty 3 күн бұрын
@jimcooper4578 Every Native American arrow I've seen from every part of the country has a taper at the tip or at the nock, or both, with the largest diameter somewhere in the middle portion of the shaft. The exceptions being arrows with bulbous tips or nocks. This applies to split shafts or natural shoots prior to European influence. Check your observations with calipers, not the naked eye.
