Hi; Were there two Phillips/8mm head size screws behind the storage cubby below to complete the removal of the OEM radio? On mine there is - it was basically 4 screws and a bunch of clips holding the OEM radio in. Ours is a bit different - no dual auto heat/AC and no SiriusXM which I have in my Civic and love so I was wondering if Honda had different setups in 8th gen Accords?

I bought the $179.99 unit from Amazon made by Hikity. It has an orange KEY2 cable coming from the power harness from the back of the head unit. I have no idea where to connect that to in a 2011 Honda Accord EX with no navigation. The only other wire coming from the harness is a pink wire that is not labeled. The other wires Reverse and Antenna or labeled. Any advice? I haven't taken the care apart yet but trying to do all th research I can before starting. I guess the KEY2 wire has to be connected somewhere for my steering wheel controls to work.

Yes, you need to relace the climate control display. Otherwise, you won't have any heat or air. I don't believe they sell the brackets and wiring harness to move the display separately.

It comes with some preloaded backgrounds but you can upload more from your phone or wifi

Its been a while but on the back of the unit I have a wire with a tag called Camera. I used that wire. And plugged the rca jack into the carmera rca.

I had an Android Head u it installed in my 011 Honda Accord. It works and the stock radio too works. But when i finished i discovered my power lock does not work, key fob does not work, Washer does not spray but wipers work, night lights on my radio and HVAC do not light up, my High beams too do not work but low beams work. Any idea what could have cost this?

Sounds like you did something wrong and shorted something out and or blew a few fuses. You need to start by checking all your fuses in all the fuse boxes. And if they blow again then you have something wired up wrong on the radio.

@@RoadMisfit187 Everything was just plug and play, no hard wiring apart from backup camera and Steering wheel controls (SWC) which i connected later after the issue had started.

@@RoadMisfit187 After spending like $180 for car repair technicians to troubleshoot the problem to no avail, i went back and reconnected my old system back and all the problems went away. So i started connecting my New Head Unit again while trying to find out what I was doing wrong. So i found out that i wasn't fastening well one of the plugs. Since then till today my car works perfectly.

Please make sure you fasten or connect your plugs or connectors well. I found out i had some loose wires (probably a ground wire related to the ignition) that was causing the problems i had. When i went back and tightened my plugs and connections, everything was fine till today.

The same thing had happened to me but only the hvac and night lights wasn’t working. The minute I had turned on my low beams the fuse regarding that would make an electric noise then blow constantly having me to replace it so I switched back to factory. Did you end up fixing the problem?

I just plug my usb stick into the usb and go to video on the android and it starts playing off the stick.

They sell a separate steering wheel control wiring harness. But I didn't buy it. Everything else works like normal including the CD player.

Steering wheel controls will still work normally if you connect the cable labelled "KEY" from the Android Unit to the harness of the car then it will permit you to learn the controls. (That's how mind was connected).

I’d much prefer the double DIN be mounted below the AC controls. The upper area is just too far from the driver position. Also, seeing the old radio controls still intact is just weird. Busy, cluttered and utterly redundant.

If you want it that way, there are other models that will come with a separate kit to replace your stock radio but maintain your AC controls. Then the unit will be wired directly to your car AMP if you have a separate AMP.
