Okay, this movie mixed with the Civil War movie that just came out is reminding me of how in the 1980s, different directors from across the world started putting together bleak and soul-crushing nuclear apocalyptic movies like The Day After or Threads to warn people with what an actual nuclear war would look like between the US and the USSR. Hopefully, like those movies in the past, this is just a possible future that doesn't come true...yet anyways.

Unfortunately, the modern politics of my country can only be understood by explaining two historical events that continue to influence today: 1. The government of Juan Domingo Perón, from which comes the political establishment of my country, Kirchnerism. This party governed almost uninterruptedly for a decade, proclaiming itself successor to Perón. They governed from 2003 to 2023 (with an interval between 2015 and 2019 that was another government). The entire economic, political, legal and cultural model comes from his ideology and brought us to the current economic crisis, which is why Milei was voted for (and believe me, there is a lot to find out about it). 2.The last military dictatorship (we had 6 dictatorships in our history), which occurred from 1970 to 1983. This event marked our vision of what an authoritarian government is and is not. In turn, it is linked to the history of Peronism because they fought against each other. Perón wanted a totalitarian government with a fascist orientation (that's why we saved Nazis after the second war) and the military wanted a militaristic government more aligned with Western values. But in short they were both shit. The important thing is that Peronism lost and that was ideological fuel to victimize itself to this day and define what is or is not democratic. So, like I said, it's a lot to explain to understand why Milei is so disruptive. It is literally breaking with a political dichotomy that we have been dragging on for 78 years. But I would love to explain in detail any question that interests you. I will be completely honest about how the government is going so far, the good and bad things, who has benefited or harmed, and the current discussions in my country. So ask me the questions you would like me to answer.
