Hello Denis! Your list is very helpful. I try to write each word after you say it, with the English translation. This is my method to learn. If you repeat each word a second time (more slowly) then again at normal speed - that will help my ear and my memory! But most of all - I say, "Thank you" I feel as if I am in a class-room. это хоропо! болшое спасибо - Лесли Смит

I swear, you are the best. I'm starting out to learn Russian. I know some things, but I want to learn it now more intensely. I speak Polish which in many aspects is very similar to Russian. I also speak German, which also eases up on some words. Usually when the words are not similar to Polish, they are similar to German. I was on another video where it taught me all the fruit names in Russian, and out of nowhere started to expect me to repead entire sentences, not related to the prior learned vocabulary. And for now, that is just all I wanted. Basic Russian vocabulary. Grammar for me will be a piece of cake. I pretty much know it already. When I know the words, understanding conversations is no problem. Thank you so much for this list. Do you have any tips on how I should continue when I get these words down? I'm currently studying for exams, so my time is a bit limited for learning Russian now, but in 3 - 4 days I should have these 200+ words down. I'm still getting used to the alphabet, but I learn it as I go along.
@DenisFedorov
@DenisFedorov 6 жыл бұрын
You're welcome) My "tips" for your situation would probably be to achieve complete confidence with the Russian alphabet because it very much affects reading and pronunciation. Therefore, you need to be confident with all Russian letters without a single exception. Don't forget to teach yourself to the proper pronunciation of letters (sounds of letters) that are completely new for you. Then, you need to expand your vocabulary to about 400 most common words and phrases and start studying the Beginner's Russian Grammar (get a textbook).
@LS-Moto
@LS-Moto 6 жыл бұрын
Denis Fedorov Thank you for these tips. I'll be sure to use them. Regarding the alphabet, many sounds are once again, similar to Polish. I still have to concentrate on the sounds of the - in latin alphabet unknown - letters, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Before listening to you pronouncing it, I try to read and pronounce the words on my own, and its working quite well. Thank you very much again for the list, the video, and the tips. Cheers :)

Denis do you think it is helpful to watch Russian films etc.without English subtitles when studying Russian? In other words can you learn Russian just by listening to Russian (as well as using other things such as videos and books of course)?
@DenisFedorov
@DenisFedorov 6 жыл бұрын
Keith, it is better to use subtitles until you can understand things without subtitles. At first, you use English subtitles, then you switch to Russian subtitles. As for the second question: listening, books, videos alone are not enough to learn Russian.

I was studying along learning Russian phrases, you know, and I noticed that, "Я люблю тебя да я делать," and, "Я люблю тебя да я делаю," say the same thing, only these two words "делать" and "делаю," are different. Is it a mistake? Are they different spellings of the same word, and if so why? I know that here in the U.S., if you live the state of Virginia, it's, "You all." If you live in the state of Pennsylvania, it's, "Youins," and if you live here, in the state of Oklahoma, it is simply, "Y'all." Just wondering?
@DenisFedorov

Phillip, both phrases, "Я люблю тебя да я делать" ("I love you yes I to do") and "Я люблю тебя да я делаю" ("I love you yes I do") make no sense to me.

@tochka832
@tochka832 4 жыл бұрын
masculine means that the subject of saying is in masculine gender for example, when you say he/she/they in english, you inflect it with gender of someone you speaking about (directly to someone or indirectly about someone) same with russian, but it is not only with these three pronouns, but language as a whole

This "reading" is not only about memorization but mainly about pronunciation check and training/correction. So, to memorize all 209 words, it would be better to download the list.

Here is the procedure to get my files: You click on the link in the description and get on the page where you enter your email. If you are downloading something from me for the first time, you will be sent a message on email that will ask you to confirm your email by clicking on the confirmation link. When you click on that link, the file will be sent on your email immediately. --- If messages from me end up in your spam folder, you should mark me as safe sender / white list / never block sender. No need to enter those words manually. Just make my messages avoid your spam folder and that's it. After this, you will be able to download my files without any confirmation by just entering your email.
