Wow! You’ve been busy. Moving is such an upheaval, and yet as the dust settles, you find yourself again in the reorganization. Sending you strong energy - enjoyed watching you create - thanks!

So glad to see you again! I'm glad that your move is over even though you have a smaller space. I know that you will be able to do your wonderful work there. The collages are great and are a good thing to work on when you have a lot of other things on your mind as I'm sure you do. Take care and Cheers! 🥰

Hi Kate glad to have found your channel, and love your work. As you noted in one of your gelli plate videos you hand cut stencils. This is amazing and would love to see how you cut some intricate stencil designs. Not many tutorial on hand cutting intricate stencils here and I would love to attempt an A3 size stencil .Happy Christmas and new year.

I'm so glad you found my channel, too. I do hand cut my stencils, but admittedly, I haven't done anything intricate.I'm sorry I can't be more help on this one. I started out drawing on my mylar or plastic to cut it, but now I just free-hand it with an exacto knife. You might check out Cordula Kagemann on Instagram @cordula.kagemann and see if her work is intricate like you"re wanting. I took her class and we used Bristol to draw and cut out our collage elements. I've used some of those same cut outs for stencils. They don't last very long however. If you try this, be sure to flip them and paint front and back of the stencil cut out. You'll be coating the surface with acrylic paint, and it will last longer. Happiest of Christmas and New Year's blessings to you, too.

Love your videos and art , Kate. Really helps me with my composition. Are you Texan by any chance? We live in England, and you remind me so much of the Texan women I grew up with. I could listen to you all day..

OK, so.i just heard you say you live in San Antonio! Great city ! Hope you find the art community there to be welcoming :)

Yes, I'm a native Texan! Thanks so much for your comments. My accent actually kept me from producing my tutorials for a very long time. I've been self-conscious about sounding like a "country girl." But Fulton encouraged me to do it anyway, and I did. @@shanesummerkelly-uw5tg

Are those painted papers done on tissue paper?
@KateWordArt10 ай бұрын
Some are deli tissue paper, some are rice paper, and the colored, painted papers are off-loaded from my brayer onto regular copy paper. 🌿
