don’t listen to that negative comment, you’ll experience lots of growing pains as you get older and things will get difficult but the bad won’t outweigh the good. you’ll grow into yourself and be constantly changing in all the best ways. don’t view new challenges as things you aren’t capable of doing, instead remember that it’s all just apart of an experience and once you learn about it it’ll come as second nature. growing up is honestly SO fun when you learn to enjoy the process of growth. don’t focus too much on your past or future, enjoy the present and try to make the most out of every day. don’t be too hard on yourself and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s! sorry, that was longer than intended but enjoy the rest of your childhood/teen years. appreciate everyday 💞

There is always an effort to fight off nostalgia, fear, financial insecurity, confronting your mortality as you grow older and realize you really aren’t going to stay a static thing. If you chase happiness it won’t stay and you’ll beat yourself up about it. You have to search for contentment. To be gentle with yourself and take comfort in knowing the things that seem complicated to you as a child now are simpler. You grow smarter and you can’t conflate happiness with the ignorance and future seeking wonder of youth. It has to be redefined.
