Blarg. As someone who used to get my ass kicked in Mario Kart, you’re missing some major speed opportunities which are keeping you down. 1) any ledge at all really is an opportunity to get a speed boost. Whenever you go over the lip on a ramp or those wavy bits of road- tap your drift button right before you get some airtime and you do a trick jump that gives you a boost. 2) drift. Just drift all the time. Anytime there’s a small corner, just got for a blue charge boost. Whenever you get those longer or tighter turns, charge up the big boost by hugging the corner while you drift. 3) defensive plays. Whenever you get a single shell or banana, you can hold the item button to keep it trailing behind you. Gives you a better shot to protect yourself, unless the person has a 3 set of items to keep attacking with. Mario Kart is super technical sometimes and you have to be looking for speed boost opportunities all the time while also juggling offense and defense strats. You can’t control the items or who targets you so you just gotta keep your speed up and cover your ass when you can. Hope this helps! Let’s get you some dubs.
