Courtney Dauwalter is one of the premier ultrarunning badasses right now. Recent achievements for Courtney include finishing first at UTMB.
Courtney also won the Tahoe 200 last year, completing the race in just under 50 hours, while the cutoff for the race is 100 hours. Courtney beat everyone, men included and set a new women’s course record by over 18 hours and a new men's course record by over 8 hours. Insane.
Enjoy!

Love her attitude and the way she's always happy and joking with others. Watched her podcast with Joe Rogan and got a sense of how grounded she is. But I really wanna know what really goes inside her head when she goes full beast mode because for the most part she doesn't tell much about it. As Goggins said , "some people hide their demon inside, but there's one for sure" (paraphrased). But in any case, she's an inspiration. GO Courtney !

I'm a really big fan of Courtney. I'm absolutly a chaser and prefer running alone. But love competitions. Doing my first 50K on saturday, after almost 20 years without long runs (only up to half marathon). I feel totally "not ready...". My feet collapsing will be the biggest issue. Ok lets make a competiton "how long time can you run" (I do not use support crew, ever :-) ) I'm bad at going without sleep 😀

I recently had an epiphany about the dog poop bags while trail running. They leave them sit there and grab them on the way back to the car so they dont have to carry them the entire way. But they look abandoned

I’m almost glad to hear this happens over there too.. I don’t understand the mentality of bagging it, and leaving it. you’re in the middle of nowhere and you come across bags of crap, over here I’ve seen it hung in trees!? just train the dog to crap in the bush, or kick it out if the way. I mean bag it an bin it around busy places, playing fields etc, but middle of nowhere, going through woods etc, it’d breakdown faster surely out of a bag in the undergrowth.

Yeah, the poop in a bag on the ground doesn’t make sense. Leaving the poop on the ground, or putting it in a bag and taking it away, those make sense. Putting it in a bag and leaving it there, that makes no sense.

I leave dog poop bags on the trail only if I’m going back that way to pick it up. I do that pretty frequently actually, but always always walk out of the woods with it! I hope that is what everyone else is doing but I can’t speak for all dog owners 🤷🏼‍♀️. Can’t stand it when people litter on trails!
