(scratches head) I got something different out of the visuals. This is the black excellence family he WOULD have had, had everyone had the chance to live a life to their full potential (big mansion, fully furnished, taking a legacy photo on the front lawn) Instead stopped by gangs, poor health care, guns, prostitution, racist police, incarceration, death. Then notice at the end there is food on the table, meaning enough for everyone to eat and no one there...He's alone.

Ty Samuels Intersting theory. I think it’s his dream situation, because the beginning of the video is him and all his loved ones prospering together but the end shows him all alone. hip-hop 73 once again you are mixing a subjective argument with a factual presupposition which results in the logical fallacy of special pleading. It is useless to continue in this discussion.

What if the music video is like Cole’s line about smoke and mirrors. Everyone likes to pretend life is great (especially in social media) when in reality, it’s really not, people go through serious struggles. That’s why you see the people in the dining room disappear by the end (and when they have the flashes of them in bad positions in life). The only people who are around the whole time are 21 and Cole, because they’re real.
