Osyio, the orhers follow a bad spirit , the Good Spirit teaches us to live as the trees of the forest which live for all the forest. Can a sapling provide for itself? Van a tree seperate it's oxygen and only give to certain ones? But as we lived here many many years everyone one the people arose every morning and provided for the tribe and solely for him self as we are taught by the bad spirit get all you can for yourself the american dream. STEPHEN WHITEHORSE AHO AMEN EMENV

I believe that it's important to go beyond race. Not all people in a race are bad. Unfortunately, at this time in history, the Native people were dealing mostly with the military, who can be representatives of what I like to call the evil empire. Not that many years ago, even at the founding of our country, white people were enslaved, bought and sold. It's a tale not very much told, and pretty much left out of history books, but if one will do the research, he or she will find out that not only the darker races, but the white race, as well, in recent history were enslaved. I believe that if one looks to the Bible, one might get a good idea of who the oppressors have been throughout 2500 years of written history. Among all races of people are good and bad people. To credit only one race of people with being all bad is not historically correct. The following book, sold at Amazon, might help one in doing the research into this very important subject. "They Were White and They Were Slaves: The Untold History of the Enslavement of Whites in Early America" by Michael Hoffman. This is never to say that what happened to the people was right or shouldn't be told. It is important to talk about these things. Through gambling, alcohol and other vices, many people have been enslaved, and all races of people have been involved in both ends of this shameful practice (enslaving and being enslaved). It's not an honorable history, certainly, but it is world-wide, not simply here in America. I believe that it's time that we, as a human race, grow up.

The more I learn about the greed and corruption of our causcasian culture the more I shudder. Such disgraceful acts back then. Little seems to have changed. Who was the Chief at that time do we know? And send my heart out to all Native American people. 🕉💓

As a Cree from treaty6 ill tell you what I learned from this story... not about gambling or alcohol but something else.... and this is how natives learn from stories.... now the fact those women gave birth to the halfbreeds you need to think the question "what have we become" well alot of us have white DNA in our bloods to this day. Not only because of this event but many other tribes woman mixed with English French and American men aswell and our men mixed with their woman so today we are all the same people who grew up watching the same sports and learning same educations so I learn not to hate what we are. They have also adapted to us aswell. They use native american war tactics in their special forces today and the headress is worn out of love not disrespect. Its an icon to the world that reminds them of us and only plains Indians ever really wore the headress so this plains Cree gives blessings to those who want to wear a headress. To those natives who rebuke I ask "what have you become?" I also love the Cleveland indians logo and the redskins. They are badass and make me proud to be a warrior. They don't name sports teams after pussies. Now they've taken that from us too :( 😞my people are ill and don't know what to ask for. There peace has been broken. I say rise up again and take your peace back. This time we have alot of other colored people who are being lied to by their leaders and icons who are in the same boat as us we are not alone. Rise. Forget the past. Let's make new stories!!! Good ones!!! Ones of a victory!!!! Like the greatest sniper in ww2 was ojibwe and miss universe 2016 was cree and what do we get? Adam Beach gets a 5 min scene on suicide squad and it shows him hitting a woman then getting decapitated!!! Our greatest actor just got made a fool of!!! Did anyone notice that? So viewers (worldwide) will further think that of native men. I met Somalian from Africa and they call us all "alghulholics" because they hear we all some drunks. That we are violent and out of control and crazy. I have a dream of leading my people amd many others out of their mental prisons and exposing all the propaganda that is against us. We can't even get a tribal member on the Supreme Court without them throwing a wrench in our gears! We need a movement!!! We need to destroy reservations and rebuild our communities. Why would anyone stay on a concentration camp is beyond me. It's not what we have left no it's all made to trick us into thinking that. Wake up. ⏰ Hiyaii!!

I am Lakota, we all must be humble, honest & turn away from the evils of the !!past! I am not interested in this horrible washichu mindset! The love of money is the root of all evil! I am a graduate of LW Day School, (1977) , , I was learning my language,& culture, than we moved, , why should me, or my children be punished for not being full blood, !! I look at my face in the mirror, & I see a tired broken Lakota, My heart breaks ,& I am like a shadow, ,my children were taken from me in 1998, & I lost my children, , man, was I shocked,& horrified to discover that I was not enrolled into the tribe...! Why?? Taku we? I am a Lakota by blood(50% , My Dad was from Mexico, so, who knows what tribe his family mingled with?? I am sad, why should I or my children be treated like evil doers? He Sapa belongs to Yaweh,!! I hear His Name in the songs, I ache with blows from such Washichu thinking from people who have no compassion!! My sorrow is great, my tears & prayers, are from a heart, & mind devoted to Wanikiya !! !! My heart is strengthened by those Lakota songs, !! I am a awandering spirit, no Homeland, , My desire is to be faithful to Yaweh, !!! The Creator (Tunkashilla-YA , , made He Sapa, & my heart breaks , nothing is (dare I say "sacred, &, holy"), anymore!! I am Lakota, , our faith should be in Ya, , not, in man-made governments, !! , Secular, or, so-called religion!! Trump is not my Great White "father,", nor the pope,! Not my " holy father"!!!

It's wrong to the center. Those women (from what we're told) made a deep personal sacrifice for their tribe because they were told it was the way of the tribe and when the time came to take care of them the chief decided to abandon them. That is wrong on a level that if you do not understand that it is wrong in the first place I don't know how to explain it to you.
