I absolutely 💯% agree with you. UK youtuber/ ebay sellers I know of, tend to talk more on areas that are for beginners and very basic contents for anyone who already knows what they are doing. I sense that UK youtuber/ ebay sellers tend to fear sharing their experience, knowledge and skills with their viewers yet expect them to subscribe to their channels. Ebay platform is very big for everyone to learn, maximise their skills and benefit from their hard work.

Maybe I'm not understanding your pricing. You say you price a smidge below market to start with, then are willing to take 30% off of that in best offers? I understand you're quick turn, but still seems like you're leaving money on the table. Is your 50% profit based on that 30% off? I know...so many questions. lol

I would like to avoid all the unnecessary questions from buyers too, but its never going to stop. Just this morning a buyer requested the measurements of an item that had the measurements in the photos and also stated in the description to see photos for measurements. Too many people not taking the time to read anything.

I will never forget and now always heed Techn's turkey sandwich advice. One of the most valuable pieces of advice you guys have given. Decided to reward myself today after shipping a bunch of items, with a lovely ahi tuna bowl for lunch. A little Friday splurge. Ate and then settled in to list my 50 drafts. After about 10 minutes immediately felt gastrointestinal distress and was taken out for the rest of the afternoon with scombroid poisoning a type of food poisoning from mishandling fish. All I can say, was at least I wasn't going to photograph because I'm now feeling better and can list again. 😂 Hope your week was more productive!

OK this is the perfect time to ask you this question because I was watching some of your older videos but you are talking about best offers now I can ask. The last two people that offered me a price on a best offer listing, offered me my lowest possible offer that I had come up with the first time, right out the gate! This is private information in our accounts. WTH? So what kind of tool are these people using so that they know what is the lowest dollar you’ll take? if there’s a tool out there that does this then there’s no reason to put that because they’e going to always be able to figure out what your lowest price is. While I obviously don’t mind excepting my lowest offer I don’t want to be a sucker and get every single item that I have listed with best offer to be bought for the lowest lowest possible penny. If this had happened one time and then a period of time went past and it happened again maybe I would chalk it up to coincidence. It happened within two days of each other. I even tried to get one of the sellers to bite. I said hey what kind of tall are you using to figure out what the lowest offer is I might want to use it on some things I’ve been looking at buying. Now the person didn’t say I don’t know what you’re talking about they didn’t say anything they just ignored the conversation but I bet you there’s something out there and it’s really pissing me off.

Do you markdown your items yourself or do you use the Ebay tool. The reason i ask is that i want do gradual markdowns as you suggest but there is a 14 day period between each sale where your items go back to full price. I’d like to programme it all in so there is a steady markdown with no gaps. Or am I looking at this wrong? Thank you so much for your videos - have been super helpful especially when I need some straight motivational talking!

First thank you for your knowledge and I'm a subscriber to your channel. I have 2 eBay stores and my own e-commerce website. I love reselling other companies product and I love creating my own products to sell. I hear you say you sell in one category. I also listen to the Auction Professor and Prime Treasure Hunter. And they say to learn and sell in different categories so to expand your bottom line You Bank account. I get it there is no right or wrong way of doing this reselling business. It is only what your brain can handle. And how much time you have to devote to this business of reselling. But for someone trying to get into this reselling business it can be confusing. With so much different information on KZbin. That take you In different direction. I was lucky I started selling on ebay for years way before I started listening and watching educational reselling KZbin channels. And the reason I watch is my cup is never full because I always like learn something new. So Thank you for your knowledge.

I just became top rated seller and noticed when listing drafts in bulk that I'm not getting discounts because I offer returns buyer pays. I have a bit of fear changing to seller pays because I feel it will increase returns and the extra change I save on each sale will just go to a paid return. I guess I have to switch to seller pays and break the fear but do I have to change it on each listing. I looked for it through help but didn't find the option in settings. Thanks
@erickalvarez10453 жыл бұрын
Each listing is individual. So you can pick and choose which listings you want to have as a top rated plus badge which you need free returns and same to 1 day handling time. Once you reach top rated you are top rated regardless. It’s the top rated plus that you can choose which listings you want to have that show up for potential buyers. In my opinion if you create quality listings and show any flaws etc. your return rate will be low.
@ARome-nh7lu3 жыл бұрын
@@erickalvarez1045 Thanks for the response. So just recently like after I posted I did another bulk draft listing and a second notification showed up saying in order to qualify for another discount or something I have to offer free shipping plus seller pays returns. So I get it, I mean that's where amazon is at now but amazon also gets a whole bunch of returns. So is the extra 50 cents to a 1 dollar worth it if the returns increase. I know its all hypothetical because we never know when a return will happen. But if it's that much easier for the customer to return will they even pay attention to the amount of time we put into each listing. Its like if we purchased a car and we knew we could return no questions asked we wouldn't even care about the commitment we could just sign because we want it for the night. Just 1 person opinion.

I have the same question. What an awesome video! I love the idea of shipping 1 item for $8.99 and 2 or more items for $9.99 but would love to know how to set up a different shipping policy ($2 per additional item) that is dependent on whether a best offer is accepted.
