I was so shocked by Woorim's falsetto. He really became a "bass-bari-tenor" just like Doohoon said! 😂 Hyungho may be the savage one but he has a soft spot for the maknae. The way he guided Woorim to reached the note and looked on proudly.

Woo-Rim as Leporello and voice full blast without microphone like on opera stage! Superbe Woorim ! I would have liked to hear him act and sing the whole aria which is hilaroius in this famous Don Giovanni ! I am sure this role will suit his charm and good humour !

He did Don Giovanni twice and was Il Commendatore both times. He once said his voice type meant that if he had stuck with opera, he would only get to play old men, kings and bad guys. 😅

@@mxgirl918 Vocal range changes with practice . Perhaps in 2015, 16 His splendid bass range was what his teachers only wanted him to train which is understandable but not exclusive .Now his range has extended in the high boundaries of his comfort zone( the proof in this challenging game with their ‘nightingale’ singer!!) Leporello the crafty Don Giovanni servant and ‘ange gardien’ would suit him now as well as Eugene ( Tchaikovsk Eugene Onigin) and other operas with very interesting roles on stage because his range is not only bass . He truly is a bass baritone with a beautiful upper range rich and really striking .Even in the quartet very often he could sing the ‘baritone ‘ part which is always more important than his… a pity for him really . He could sing a lot more… in Forestella quartet his voice and emotions feelings charm and quality of singing are superlative according from what I know of the art of ‘classical ‘ singing… and cross/over or music hall where there are wonderful musical works where he could star 🌟 considering his youth and training but perhaps it would need discovering more than nice tunes .. thanks for sharing thoughts on such a wonderful artist.. so young and talented! @@m0e4g2 He would have become a victim of casting needs because true basses are rarer compared to baritones and bass-baritones. Hopefully when the opportunity comes he will get a role that suits his age and his expanded vocal range (yes, Leporello would suit him!😂). Better than being the youngest in the cast and having to dye your hair grey and act old because your character is an old man.

@@mxgirl918’bonjour ! hello 👋 ! All the best to you & ko woorim for 22 !your thoughts about the youngest artist of an opera cast becoming a ‘victim’ .. made me laugh!!! What is essential for artists is passion and practice and age is not what counts … for opera singers to be cast means a lot and to then get attached as comprimario to an operahouse is essentiel( in Europe : German, Austrian, Italian, French .. Spanish .. British, Finish …operahouses have apprentice singers from all over the world.. and famous Asian singers became famous because of these schemes. ( Sumi Jo..)So I guess when it comes to a choice of career our youngest Forestella member privileged the crossover quartet to training abroad for 3 years or so.. and being heard and seen by audiences and artistic agents and so on.. while attached to an operahouse there is practice.. a lot of roles to study, language coaches, recital performances, and staging techiques as well.. But we have to be aware of this pandemic long period which is ruining opera schedules and young artists careers so the choice Woorim made being Forestella member is a good one : they have been busy ( practice, concerts all musical styles, including Kpop and Rock , crooners’hits .. prestigious concert like the July one for Korean National Day celebration). I sincerely would like to know Ko woorim deepest thoughts about his evolution. I would really enjoy now to see him in a solo concert. ( Mingyu has recently done one with a French hit ‘non rien de rien’and wellknown tangos). I do think the two of them must have things in common to discuss, often.Then there is what can be felt when they sing a strong comradeship feeling which makes them feel like a family as they spend so much time practising performing travelling together!their youth is their main richness mingled with each one tremendous talent !will they travel the world soon ?

@@m0e4g2 I wasn't sure how it's like in Europe but from what the guys from Phantom Singer (Forestella's fellow contestants) have been saying the classical music world is a bit old-fashioned and rigid in SK so many of them saw Phantom Singer as a way to still achieve fame as "proper singers" but without loosing too much of their classical musician identity....and still escape that rigidness. As you mentioned with the pandemic wrecking opera schedules, many of the Phantom Singer finalists are actually doing ok since they are more well-known to the general public and have been performing on TV/radio programs, hosting classical music radio programs, releasing new music, invited as guest performers for online concerts, etc. Sadly their ticket power in the "classical" category isn't translating into other classical/opera acts. No doubt they must be thinking that have chosen a better career option compared to if they had stayed in opera. It would be cool for Woorim to have a solo concert or he and Mingyu have their opera/classical concert (since Hyungho and Doohoon already had a joint rock/pop concert on their own👍)
