Danny Miller broke my heart with this performance. The look of horror on his face and the way he screamed for Paddy when he saw Clyde - he just looked so vulnerable and scared. Then later on, when he said "I'm not a kid, Paddy. I know he's not gonna just go to sleep" and when he implored with him not to let him die. But the moment that really got me was the way Aaron looked at Paddy before he hugged him - he looked like a lost and devastated child who just needed a hug from his dad because that is how he sees him. It's hard to believe Danny Miller was only 19 when he did this episode. He's an incredible actor for someone so young and the raw emotion with which he portrayed these heartbreaking scenes proves just how talented he is. This episode makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it.

Funny when Jackson is flirting with Cane. haha.

Though I wish that Aaron and Jackson showed a little bit more of affection, I understand that Aaron had a rough past and I believe this is the reason why he doesn't seem to like much physical interaction. However, we see that he hugs Paddy and Paddy only, which is very touching, because there is trust in that "father-son" relationship.
@JordanjamesX9 жыл бұрын
The reason there was a lack of affection because Danny miller said in interviews a few years ago he was uncomfortable with gay kissing scenes.

It's amazing watching Aaron and Jackson here - Jackson is so mature, confident and level headed and Aaron is only 3 years younger but he's still quite a twisted head wreck.

To all those calling Aaron stupid and stubborn: Aaron is only eighteen, severely screwed up childhood and adolescence... he's learning some hard, cruel life lessons. Give him a break.

@KETTYKISH I think Paddy just meant that Aaron wouldn't be so irrational and angry if he had been his Dad from the start, because whatever happened with his own Dad has caused him to be messed up. He's saying to Aaron that he would've treated him better.

@AlanRM1000 I liked the "you're better than my dad" from Aaron to Paddy, but I'm not sure I liked Paddy's "If I had been your dad from the start, you'd be different" or something of that sort. Must not be too nice to hear.. Or not? Loved Jackson's "boyfriend" mention, but maybe Aaron forgot he's gay!.. Or the writers.. *shrugs*
@TeaCub14 жыл бұрын
Even though Aaron had a good relationship with his dad a few years ago, I guess the fact that Gordon kicked him out and gave up on him and Paddy hasn't, despite everything Aaron's done, makes him the better father figure in Aaron's eyes.
@superxx5714 жыл бұрын
I wanted Aaron to pay for his wrong-doings, but not at the expense of someone else's life. Clyde so did not deserve this. As for Jackson, RUN WHILE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHANCE!!! You've already lost your sanity the day you took Aaron back. PLEASE don't lose your life because of him. You deserve better.

@kwraikarn Oh, give me a break! There are plenty of eighteen-year-olds whose childhood was far worse than Aaron's, that don't act like this. Plus, how long has it been since Aaron has moved to Emmerdale? Since then, he's had people take him in, love for him, befriend him, and even accept him, and he spat on every single one of them at one point in time. The bottom line is that Aaron is an adult, and it's about time he start taking responsibility for his actions, plain and simple.

Yeah, see, this is why YOU DON'T CHAIN A DOG IN THE YARD. Also, a chain + a fence? Redundant much?
@superxx5714 жыл бұрын
@kwraikarn First you say,"To all those calling Aaron stupid and stubborn: Aaron is only eighteen, severely screwed up childhood and adolescence... he's learning some hard, cruel life lessons. Give him a break." Then you say, "Mmm, it is only a soap opera, darling." Do you not see what's wrong with that picture? We're all aware that it's only a soap, but the reason why I'm giving Aaron a hard time is the same reason why you chose to defend him. We're just caught up in the story, that's all.
