What disappointed me was in 2021 on the WCF run, PG showed he was capable to taking the team to the finals. I even thought to myself maybe they should pivot from Kawhi and build a team that supports PG. Resigning him for 4 years would’ve been disastrous for us with the new 2nd apron. It would’ve hampered us big time signing new players and losing picks. Also, I like what we’ve done so far after losing PG13. DJJ is a great defender with crazy athleticism. Batum is back and he can do anything we ask of him. Mo Bamba is a good replacement for Plumlee at backup center. And if only Kevin Porter Jr. can get his head on straight, he could be the steal of the offseason. We’re gonna be alright. Again, it’s all dependent on Kawhi’s health with or without PG13

I liked PG and him being on our team has gotten us farther than with any other team that we had so I do feel grateful for that, but I felt like he was starting to get a little too Hollywood thinking more about his podcast and not really caring as much about the Clippers. Looking back in retrospect we should’ve just traded pG straight up got harden last year. Not only did we lose the OkC trade but now we also lost the Philly trade. Lawerence Frank deserves a lot of blame here for his incompetence. Ultimately, PG wanting to get paid more than Kawhi says a lot about his character and his level of delusion. Too much entitlement and no self awareness of his place in the hierarchy. These issues were present since the bubble.

I think Russ could’ve got pg to re sign a slightly team friendly contract had he not got a raw deal so the clips did themselves no favors in their handling of Russ this season when they know how much love and respect pg has for him so what did they think would happen combing those two factors together. This was like one of those " I know you don't have that in you kind of discussion in a relationship." One party was expecting to have the other party make a move to convince them to stay as they themselves wanted to stay. The other half was like I know you don't wanna leave so why bother trying my hardest to convince you. Then PG said you really think I don't have that in me? Then left the clippers for some body else. Now the clippers are left surprised and just in denial of the other parties intangible in the relation ship or what they could have aspire to accomplished if they could just have done their earnest. I'm torn actually as I was a fan of both kawhi and pg and fell in love with the clippers. If it was just me I would have go all in and run it back. The teams future picks was already in the mud anyways. Now we go into a new arena starting our season with a roster with out one of the better deffender in the team. I mean we're already depleted in defence with out nico rocco not to mention when kawhi was not available. Being the younger sibling to the lakers I would have wanted to us to at least get one serries win against them if not a chip. But as they say all good things must come to an end. Trully this was a rollercoaster of an experience rooting for this pairing and the team it self it had its up and downs just like anywhere else. It is what it is now really. @@Hirtelen-pf1dp Lakers fan here, but Ty Lou made quite a few subtle hints that Russ ran his schemes while Harden did what Harden wanted. The Clippers played better team ball with Russ as the starting point guard, and had better defense. Russ was basically the only one of those 4 to show up in the playoffs. Kawhi was always hurt, and PG and Harden choke consistently in the playoffs. So I think it’s good for all parties involved to split. I always told myself, if I was PG13, I can’t keep wasting post seasons because Kawhi’s knees have issues. Kawhi probably didn’t care that PG13 left, because he chokes. Russ can still start in this league, so I hope he goes to a team he can start on rather, because he still contributes to winning.
