We love you granny Pat, don't worry about the negative comments, I don't know why people cannot just either be nice, or scroll on by. Unless people grew up a certain way they will never understand, that is why it is so important that we have people like you to tell stories. I was born and raised up there in Eastern Kentucky and when I was a child I can tell you that many would have gone hungry if it hadn't have been for the wild game on the table along with garden food. This is a message from a farm owner in central Missouri. We raise corn and soybeans. There are so many deer eating crops. Can you imagine the soybeans popping up out of the ground and a herd of 12 deer eating them. I have seen this. The deer have to be thinned out, or we would have few crops to sell. We are not hunters, but the people that hunt them use the meat or give it to people that do enjoy eating the meat. Some people just don't understand. We used to raise lots of sweet corn in a garden. You are right about raccoon just ruining a patch of sweet corn. They know exactly when it is ready to eat and they tear up the whole corn patch. Thank you for trying to explain this problem.

Always like seeing what you are wearing and matching glasses. Your discussion of deer hunting reminds of many many years ago and the hunting that provided our large family with meat to survive. Dad brought home pheasant, rabbit, deer and fish. My mother made delicious protein meals with this game. None of these precious animal were harvested for fun….these were our survival.

Happy new years Granny Pat. I just found your videos a couple months ago, but as soon as I watched one, I was hooked, and I’ve been binge watching them. I absolutely love watching them and listening to you tell stories about your life, and how different growing up was back when you were a child. Im 30, and I lost my my last living grandma almost 6 years ago, and as a kid growing up, I remember loving nothing more than her sitting down and telling me stories about growing up. Then I stumbled across your channel, and I love it. It’s like having a grandparent in my pocket that I can pull out and listen to a story anytime I want. It’s wonderful. Even though we’ve never met, I feel like I know you personally, and I’ve found myself sitting down watching one of your videos many times and thinking “I’d love to sit down with this lady and hear some of her stories and experiences in person.” It’s nice to just sit down with one of your videos after my two year old gone to bed, and just feel like I’m having a chat with an old friend, even though we’ve never actually met. I can’t wait until I’m in a better financial position, and not living pay check to pay check struggling, because I would absolutely love to buy your books and read your stories for myself, but unfortunately, that’s just not in my budget right now. I agree with you 101% on the Deer. I see them in my back yard everyday and i love them, but they have to be controlled. Did you know the high death rate happens because of Deer's being hit by cars? I love them but you have to and I do hate seeing Deer heads on walls but that is just me. I laughed when you said you hope the Grooms stays around for awhile. Let me share this about memorializing our children's or grandkid's sweet comments etc. You start with setting up an email acct for your young one. Then when something is said or done send an email to that address. You can even include notes and letters. When the child graduates, or sooner, give the child the password to the email! 🙂

What lovely photo's of the bride and groom (and family). Jan looked lovely in her cream dress and fur, as did the M.O.B. in her fancy top and slacks! I also am disappointed in the recent contest, but not surprised. When I went to look at them, your photo was the only one that gave details of *why* you should be considered. Most of them were just glossy photos. It would have been better if those voting had been more transparent with their reasoning for their choice.
