Thank you for this video. Aegishlash one of my favorite non-legendary pokes. Now i can finally give the royal blade the respect it deserves.

The side-switch combo at 3:16 doesn't work on Machamp, Empoleon, Suicune, Charizard, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Sceptile, Scizor and Garchomp. You can adjust it for them by ending with 2YX instead of 4Y 5AAA, but you don't get the wall bounce and end up in shield form. The wall bounce version works on Lucario, Decidueye, Chandelure, Darkrai, Mewtwo, S.Mewtwo, Gengar, Braixen, Pikachu, Libre, Weavile and Croagunk.

ok why isn't that Phase Shift Point gauge in the actual game, that'd explain so much more to me visually like "oh what moves will cause a phase shift" so I know ahead of time instead of having to guess when my combo causes a shift regardless tho this helped me understand the game much better just with that gauge alone, thank you a ton man

With atk buff, 5AX actually has more damage than 6XX when you are juggling the opponent. Both options use 4 phase shift points and still can combo into 5AAA.

Ah, it didn't occur to us for taking into account the Atk Buff differences. Thanks for the heads up!

I didn't even know you could dash-step out off Aegislash's moves in Shield Form. These completely blow the stuff I've been practicing out of the water :O

What do the numbers and stuff mean? The only fighting games I've played(recently at least) are this one and smash bros on the 3ds

It’s tekken notation each of the numbers represent a different directional input

I know I’m late. But I’ve been labbing Aegislash and I got the timing of 6X down. But how do I get the timing of AX for the enhanced version and AAA?

Can someone please tell me what does those term mean? "5Y" "6AR" etc
@DrezoArt4 жыл бұрын
The numbers represent which direction the analog stock is going. If you look at the number pad, 5 is in the middle, meaning that the analog stick isn’t going up, down, left or right. 6 means to the right, or forward for some cases. Y revered to the “y” button on your controller, and with A and R. 5Y would mean “Standing Y”, and 6AR would mean “Forward A, then R”

can it be done without the weird golden timing thing?

What characters would be considered fast-fallers?
@21Hits7 жыл бұрын
They're all roughly the same, with Gardevoir being a slow-faller.

I have no idea what the hell is going on but could you make some of the readings a bit more simplistic? (for dumb people like me)
@laranjo8956 жыл бұрын
We use numpad notation 789 456 So 8 is up, 4 is left, 6 is right, 2 is down and 5 is no directional input. 123 5A would be neutral special, 4Y would be neutral weak, 6X would be forward heavy, etc. In field phase only, forward is f, side is s and back is b. [ ] Is when you have to hold the input. ] [ Is when you have to hold a button and release. j or j. Is jump. : Between two inputs is a just frame, which is a version of the attack which does more damage, done by pressing the button in a correct timing and not just mashing. Only a few moves have just frames. ~ Is barely used, but means that you have to do the follow up immediately. Oh, and it also means the just frame is done in the exact moment the opponent is hit. W! or !W means that the opponent is knocked into the wall.

@@laranjo895 late response but thank you! I’m just now starting to get into Pokken Tournament Deluxe competitively and the number notation really helps! ^-^
