I was researching alternative Lecia mount rangefinder lenses when I came across this unknown brand and I am very intrigued. Viewing some sample images it does seem to be a hidden gem. Seems very hard to find good vintage wide angles. Curious how it compares to my Minolta 20mm f2.8. Apparently, it is a retro focus design like the Minolta and should have fewer problems on digital bodies than regular wide-angle rangefinder lenses.

Avenon/Kobulux is a very interesting company I have wanted to discuss more. They seem to be linked to Komura, and some have even suggested the modern leica 21mm lens is based off their design.

The edge softness is a result of your combination, the thickness of sensor cover glass exceeds some maximum tolerable threshold(for lack of a better term…) for lenses with extremely short back-focal-length, shooting these lenses on digital without edge degradation typically requires BSI CMOS and/or thinner cover glass.

That sounds plausible, It worked better on the Canon 7. The issue only seems to pop up when shooting wide open.
