Worthy was just awesome in his prime. Loved watching him back then.

Why is this game more entertaining than what we see today? This was during a time when the league was its most popular
@lanecore75 Жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more. I think it's because the post game is dead and gone. No inside out play anymore. It's just fog up 3s from 35 ft. I watch replays from this era all the time. This is when the "NBA was Fantastic!!!."

People know Barkley as some old chubby guy but he was absolutely unbelievable in his prime.

Truly some great highlights in this. Barkley’s rebounding strength. Kareem’s low post hooks and even timely padding by guys like Rambis.

Just seeing Barkley operate when he was young tells what kind of player he was. He came along when Moses and Doc were on their way out or that Sixers squad would have garnered another ring and maybe Barkley's only ring. Toney and Cheeks were old but still capable but its hard to replace Moses and Doc.
@elwin385 жыл бұрын
Plus Toney started having foot problems that eventually ended his career. Before those foot problems Andrew Toney was one of the best 2 guards in the league. If he had a couple more good years, he would've been a hall of famer. The Celtics called him the Boston strangler for a reason. That was one of the main reasons they traded for Dennis Johnson, to slow down Toney.

Was Barkley not an incredible player. Just watched him block Kareem's shot and then run the floor and finish on the other end. Incredible athlete who gave up a lot of inches but still dominated on the boards. Wow what a player.

This is a year after former Sixers GM Pat Williams decimated the team sending away Malone and two first round picks to Bullets for a broken down Jeff Ruland and sent 1st round pick Brad Daugherty to the Cavs for Roy no one remembers me Hinson. Moses was far from retirement and Daugherty became an allstar Center for Cavs. Oh , what might have been for Sixers.
