I think something might have been up with his guitar, I've noticed in all the videos I've seen from this performance that it sounds a bit off, but I don't know.... Could be that it hadn't been properly tuned before going on stage or in a worse scenario his hand might have been having some problem, like if it'd got hurt or maybe just stiff.
