22 BMW r1250 GS Adventure Owner Review! 1200 vs 1250 comparison UPGRADE GSA

Friends! I just traded my 18 BMW 1200 GSA for an almost new 22 BMW 1250 GSA ! I have put about 1000 miles on it and here is my initial review of the adventure bike. I kind of made it a 1200 or 1250 which one - versus video of sorts.
The BMW dealer said "If you like the 1200 GSA then you will LOVE the 1250 GSA" Nice try but I need to ride it for a bit more.
Let me know your thoughts so far. Man, I really do like the GS Adventure bikes BMW puts out, much more than the Pan America I had, more than the KTM I had, and even more than the Kawasaki KLR (ok that is not a fair comparison) and the Triumph Tiger (s) that I have owned. *drinking kool aid.

I’m on a 2016 R1200GSA, waiting for the 1300 GSA update. IF they keep the design language from the 1300 GS, I’ll upgrade to a late model 1250 GSA.

You can turn the ABS on or Off in any Mode on the R 1250 GS Adventure. You can also turn the Traction control on or off in any mode

Everything is correct, I had 2018 GSA and got 2023 GSA totally different engine

I’m a super bike rider but I do off-road with my 4x4. I’m planning on getting the 1200gsa at a really good price with extras. I have been doing research and watching videos for the past month now before making the purchase. However!!! All the videos I’m watching is shooting down the 1200gsa and always advices to get the 1250gsa but it will come at a premium. Should I just wait till I have enough extra money for the 1250gsa? Or should I just go ahead and get the 1200gsa as my first off-road/touring bike? Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦

The 1200 is just fine. I did many miles on it before getting the 1250. The difference is very small. If you can get a 1200- GO FOR IT you will not be disappointed

I‘m in the same position and came to think that for the GSA especially the differences are top marginal to pay +50% - but smiles per gallon are important so I will try to compare them before making a final decision 😂

Each time bmw bring a new version the old version is immediately disregarded. As if the 1200 is suddenly no good what a load of shit i bought my 1250 new in sept 22 a few peopke said why dont i wait for the 1300 i thought the deal i am getting i cant turn it down since the 1300 as arrived as my 1250 suddenly become rubbish hell no infact i think the 1300 aint that great. Yes the 1250 improves on the 1200 but its totally upto you both are great machines so planted and flickable such a swiss army knife
