RAFT or PAXOS is about replication consistency not about partitioning or sharding. Nodes are meant to be identical. Writes always go to leader. If the change is persisted in majority of nodes, it is counted as commited.

I had the same quesiotn in the video of 2023, but no one in that class ask this question, so I got confused and tried to check video of previous semester and found this.
