So this show is great, Smiling Friends is one of my favorite shows and its premise is that it’s pretty much the main characters get hired to make people smile. The main characters are Charlie who is the yellow guy, Pim is the short purple one, Mr.Boss is the the owner of the company he usually wears a suit and is relatively unhinged, Glep who is the tiny green one who speaks gibberish, the Alan who is the tall red guy. They pretty much in a nutshell make people smile while going on an adventure during but the show is generally unhinged Preciate the likes🙏

ok guys, if you really want the lore or the context of the series: smiling friends is a "charity" that their main purpose is to cheer up and make their clients smile. charlie and pim (the yellow and purple duo) do those missions set up by Mr. boss (the big head dude that you guys keep calling their neightbour and stuff, the oen with the assault rifle). meanwhile glep and allan stays at the headquarters (the green little thing and the red dude) the guy you keep calling president is Mr. Frog, a TV actor. whom's show had to be cancelated for a bit because he almost ate a interviewer during an event. he actually was a client for the smiling friends ttrying to recover his show. the orange hair dude was the producer of the show and tried everything to "save the show" but failing. and mr frog saying "screw it" and eating him the frowning friends was a rival company trying to do the opposite of them, and because of that chaos and everything. allan and gelp went in favor of them. just before bossman show the world that more that frowning and badass they were still weak in a way... and then apparently got shot. didn't know that. the food dudes. they were mascots of a brand. but one of them (i think the burger) was murdered, they were trying to find out who it was... but they ended up finding out EVERYONE did a bit to it. the bubbly control dude. it was one of the first clients, they just wanted to off themselfs, but after a lot of attempts, he found out that shooting those little bubbly things made him happy and smile, that's why he has his service now and looks cleaner. the halloween party, yeah, pim went for wood but messed up and brougth a creature to the party, and apparently people hated that creature because of his apperance (i think one even said black face?) and just butchered it there. charlie on the cold zone? that's hell... yep, somehow hell froze over, and as his job (even if dead. because, yes, he arrived there dying to a falling tree) he tries to make satan smile to unfreeze hell... and maybe find a way out. the black creature he punched was his "only entretaiment in hell" but the first time it did that thign with the arms and voice he said "dude, you repeat that, and i will punch you"... he was truthful to his word. the shrimp is a dude that got addicted to that game and lost their GF. while pim tries to recover her, charlie tries to make him more cool for the girls. i think that's all i can offer... also, of president. there's one. but on season2

The part about the knights is pretty funny. So basically in the beginnkng of the episode ”Frowning Friends” Pim(Pink guy) and Charlie(yellow) are sitting around, Charlie tells Pim that he’s reading news that the ’Renaissance Men’ are coming into town. That is all we hear about it until the end of the episode we’re they reappear, riddle the Frowning Friends with arrows and then leave.

The base premise of the show is that Smiling Friends is a company where the employee's jobs are to go out and help people smile that put in a request. So most episodes start with something like " oh go help this depressed man smile" then that instantly spirals into chaos. Kinda like Regular Show lol.

That compilation was basically every funny bit from the first season, with only the context removed, and scrambled around to make it harder to glean the context from the chain of events you were seeing. I'm surprised you guys didn't seem to remember Vanoss being kinda obsessed with the show when you got to the RICKETY BRIDGE scene, but could be basically the whole month of him quoting it in videos could have been in a tighter timeframe than it seemed as the videos were coming out. I'd really recommend checking out at least the first season, it's made by/with quite a few people that basically grew up together (about the teenage years iirc) making cartoons and games on Newgrounds in the earlier 2000s

Would like to mention, Smiling Friends is made by youtubers, Psychicpebbles is the voice of charlie, and the whole show is loaded with OneyPlays references. Zach Hadel has been trying to make a TV show for the better part of the last decade and adult swim finally gave him a shot. PsychicPebbles and OneyNG. Once had a pitch for a show called Hell Benders but it didn't get picked up but the animations were pretty funny
