Can you give the exact information on the Goal Zero power unit?

Hi there! Thanks for watching. The power station we are using in the van now is the Goal Zero Yeti 1500X (amzn.to/3YWDey7). This is an upgraded version of the one we originally had in the video. Have a great day!

Have you ever removed your headliner over the front seats? A sheet of ice last winter ripped my radio antenna off, breaking the mount and the only way to fix it is remove the headliner. I'm looking for help with this. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that! No, I have never done that. Good luck with it. Hopefully not too bad.

Does the bed still fold easily with the fitted sheets or a mattress pad
@Outapkt

Thanks for watching and for your question! To fold the bed, the different pieces of the mattress have to come apart so you can't do it with the sheets still on (at least not fully on). We end up leaving the bed down most of the time as it provides an additional storage shelf when travelling.

Hi. Been watching and thinking about getting one in the future. Your videos are much more informative than the dealership ones on KZbin. I currently have a PleasureWay Tofino with low roof and pop up. Best part of the Tofino are the lithium batteries and going through drive-thru’s. Best thing about van camping is the frig and the heater. My question was if do you have a DC to DC charger for your house AGM batteries, which you alluded to? Also, have you ever run out of house battery if not driving and overcast while Boon-docking? The Nexen tires are horrible. When you upgrade tires it will get rid of a lot of sway. I also got front and rear Summo springs, but the tires make the biggest difference. Good luck with your channel.

Hi, thank you so much for watching and for your encouraging comment! I am trying to understand your question about a DC-to-DC charger for the "house" (camper/rv) batteries. As far as I am aware, the house batteries charge 3 ways: 1) when I drive, they charge off the van alternator 2) when I am parked off grid or have sunlight anytime, they charge off the roof solar 3) when I have shore power (campground/home 115v/generator) they recharge off that. I have never run out of 12v power when boondocking. In this van, heat is propane, the stove is propane, and you don't have 115v power unless you have an external power source. So, the only things that need 12v power are the fridge and lights and whatever you plug in to the USB outlets. There is not a lot of draw. We plug laptops/air fryer into our separate Yeti power station (115v) which we also recharge when we drive, or from solar. Again, thank you so much for your feedback. I hope we have better handling, especially in winter, with new tires. We can't raise the height of the van (maybe can't do upgraded springs?) as we have less than 1 inch of clearance getting into our garage. Glad to have you following the channel and look forward to more feedback!

Thanks for sharing info on your Pocket. What is the dimensions of the opening under your dinette seat where you are storing the Yet? Also the 36A has a seatbelt for a passenger to sit at the dinette. I'm wondering if someone could sit there comfortably for a 12 hour trip. Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for watching and for the questions. The door opening to that compartment is 16 inches wide x13 inches high. The compartment is about 18 inches deep. The top panel does come off (under the cushion) which allows you to put something in the compartment up to 18+ inches wide, if you don't have to get it in and out of the door. As far as the seat, could someone make it through a 12 hour trip without too much discomfort? probably. I wouldn't want to do it on a lot of long trips. It's a decent cushion but it won't be supportive like a real seat. Probably the back support would be the biggest comfort issue. If you swapped with the person in the passenger seat a couple times during the trip, that would probably help. Some of the other models like the Solis 59P/PX and Revel seem to have seats more geared toward passenger travelling (but I don't think as flexible for just hanging out in the van). Hope that helps and thanks again!

Nice rig. Just a suggestion, your audio seems a bit muffled, I recommend a better microphone so it’s clearer.😊

Thanks for watching and for the feedback. We got good wireless microphones just before recording this but are still figuring them out a bit. We should have taken the dead cats off and set them for a reduced gain. Next one should be better!
