I’m so glad the algorithm brought your channel to me. These videos have been so helpful for ink shopping. It’s so hard to compare apples to apples online, but when they’re all in the same lighting and put down by the same hand on the same paper, it really makes a world of difference. Thank you!

Private Reserves Blue Suede is my absolute go-to ink. I love it so much, and in my Kaweco Sport, the red sheen regularly pops up in my writing.

I want the Vinta Vanness one but it can't be bought here & first on my list is the adorably named Chicken in the Sky with Diamonds 😁 I haven't checked yet I hope this is available here. When I swatched J. Herbins Emeraux de Chivor I had the same feeling. I thought it looks nice, but wasn‘t hyped. Then I have put it in a pen and it looks so good, when you write with it. It changed my mind.

Part of the reason Emerald of Chivor is so popular is because it was one of the earliest of the crazy multi-property inks. There were some sheening inks, but none of them were as wild as it is, and I don’t remember if there were any shimmer inks that were fountain pen safe before it. The fact that it combined both was a quantum leap forward in “interesting” inks.

I really like L'Artisan pastellier, especially because it was local to me where I lived before. Also they take feedback to improve their inks. I visited their boutique in Albi it was lovely ! I especially like that you can mix the inks in the Callifolio range and they are quite cheap !

Perfect time for a teal video, I just inked my teal! Imagine my shock to learn one of the few FWP inks that write wet is Mirror Mirror of Moraine

Yes! Mirror Mirror of Moraine is a beautiful teal! I find that there are few FWP that are pretty wet, some of their earlier inks are have a wetter consistency.

Thank you very much for this film. I saw few od my favorite inks here: Sabimidori, which means Rusty Green, Emerald of Chivor, and Tranquility :⁠-⁠) I have also Ku-jaku by Pilot and Sheaffers Coastal Blue, great teal with summer vibe.

such beautiful colors! shimmer inks are sooooo pretty to look at, but i'm learning the hard way that many don't play nicely in my fountain pens so I've become more discerning about choosing pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. thank you for sharing. can't wait to see the rest of this season's ink explorations :D

Just on a side note, I bought Knitted Nettle after Edward’s Gardens and I low key regret EG. Though they are similar in a pen, KN just gives me that extra something that I love.

i favorited most of these omg they're SO PRETTY!!! "J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor" reminds me a lot of "FWP Edwards Gardens" that's interesting.

They are very close! FWP is brighter teal, but J. Herbin has darker.

I recently swatched Emeraux de Chivor and Sailor Manyo Yomogi. Yomogi is also almost a dupe, just without the shimmer.

Loved all of these real inks! You had a nice selection of inks! It is hard to choose which is my favorite because they are all so beautiful. I do love the Birmingham Pen Company inks. I have only seen you swatch them but I love them every time I see them. I am going to take the plunge and order some very soon! Thank you for such a great video!💙💙💙

Thank you so much! I love the Birmingham Pen Co and have not found an ink I don't like yet. Their atomink inks are really fun too since they have a recipe for other inks!

Oh my what a delicious assortment! I’ve been using Diamine Aurora Borealis as my go-to teal for years, maybe instead of repurchase when I finish the bottle, I’ll dip Into sampling some of these!! Thanks for the swatchfest!!

I have tried several of these inks in pens. I do make currently inked videos every month of what pens/inks I am using :) I don't know if I could narrow down to one video (there are SO many inks) but I will say some of my favorite brands that always behave well are Birmingham Pen Company, Pilot Iroshizuku, Robert Oster, Sailor and Taccia. If there is a specific ink you're curious about I'd be happy to give my input :)

Great selection of teals, as if I’m seeing all the shades of clear ocean water… I used to own Diamine’s Marine but it was a bit bland for my taste (surprising, cuz I enjoy many greys and less saturated inks), so I gave it to my father who’d appreciate it more. Your swatch of the Marine ink is excellent and changed how I feel about the ink. Great video and explorations as always!

I own 5 Dominant Industry inks and all 5 of them are dry. I don't like dry even though they are pretty. I really need to look at inks more before I buy them 😅 I'm still using them, but it's sad lmao

Really?? I haven't had a dry experience yet. How interesting! I will say the shimmer inks are not as wet as their standard inks. I wonder if certain colors are more dry than others too.
