I just had my anatomy scan yesterday (19 weeks and 3 days now) and the reassurance that baby is looking perfect is amazing. Especially when you and your significant other have quite a bit of things that could be passed on. I'm so happy for you! :) Also, I have major respect for waiting to reveal. I could not hold it in. I was way too excited when we got the second "It's a girl" that I told everyone her name the moment I arrived home, which is Iris.

oh I wish I could give you a huge hug; sometimes it helps to know you aren't alone in birth being frightening.. I've had three, and each was uniquely challenging.. first was a preemie, third didn't survive, so our middle born was our only one we could hold immediately.. you are a strong momma, and you're perfectly entitled each and every emotion💝 prayers that you get a beautiful healthy delivery!

I totally understand your anxiety about a micro managed birth. My birth ended up as an induction due to placental issues and I was terrified about the pitocin, the drip, the continuous monitoring, having to have my waters broken - all things that I hadn't wanted in my birth "plan" but I still managed to stay mobile the whole labour, got through without pain medication by using my labour strategies and lots of support from hubby and a tens machine and hot water bottle and even with baby back to back, I felt really in control the whole time. When I think about it now I feel like it was a really beautiful experience even though all the interventions wasn't what I had originally hoped for. It taught me to feel less anxious about birth in general - and even though my preference would still be for a birth that is intervention free, I no longer carry the intense fear about it. I think hypnobirthing is totally doable in all kinds of contexts and I hope, hope, hope that you get the birth you hope for, but I also hope you still feel positive about giving it a good go, even if plans change and monitoring etc is required. I know that my natural birth strategies functioned perfectly well even with the added complexity of an induction and back-to-back labour and I'm so thankful I still gave it a go even though I was super anxious about coping with the interventions. Birth is so amazing in all its many forms! I am in constant awe of how women get through it, each in their own way!

Yes I really do hope for you that you get that wonderful aftermath and you can hold and feed your little one, all seems positive so far. I'm due the end of march, feeling pretty good and trying to enjoy every moment. Will start looking into hypnobirthing as everybody seems to only have good things to say. As for the names we'll just have to keep searching, we get until six weeks after birth right 😂 take care xx

Oh my goodness off to watch her and follow for baby names we can't agree on names at all. I always have to have names early on. Control freak hahaha. You look so beautiful.
