This is so awesome. I love when manufacturers go out of their way to help out content creators. Question: Can you possibly put in a weight block that is a different density but still clear?

Intuitively, I suspect that any sort of material dense enough to be considered a "weight block" would be too dense to be transparent.

Weight block idea: Have the 220AVG in a 3d printed font (different colors too) and have that be the weight block. I want to use mine in competition. Too good to be shelved or just to play around with. I've been in the hunt for a new spare ball. This might just be it except that I won't be able to use it. Needs to be 15 lbs.

Important note if you do buy one, KEEP IT COVERD or away from any window/sunlight. Clear spheres are very good at magnifying and focusing any and all light and can cause fires.

Another OUTSTANDING video, you need to get with Forest Kritzer and have a competition to see who can throw the best series with this ball. You may need to get one for him and get it drilled to fit his one hand style of bowling just to be fair since he's really not a two-handed bowler.
@SirJoelsuf13 ай бұрын
I would TOTALLY get one of these as a spare ball. Perhaps the "220Avg" can be part of the weight block?

Just a heads up that a clear sphere can act as a focusing lens when light hits it. Sunlight going through this could theoretically set your house on fire. You see this issue with crystal balls... You should make a cover or a cloth to keep it covered when in storage...

@emanuelmorales29143 ай бұрын
Maybe just a thought , can you have them do do a mini clear ball and put that in as a core?
@Dsco3 ай бұрын
You could maintain the clear/refractive aspect of the ball with an interior core that has a mirror finish, maybe in some sort of aluminum? That is how those gimmicky fushigi balls are made. Could be an idea to make a legal version that still has the feeling of being clear and reflective!
@decadude89683 ай бұрын
Yeah I actually think that might work. If a dense glass orb in the middle of the ball doesn't work, you could probably put something brightly polished or relfective foil wrapped in the middle to still make a cool affect. That might work.

Hey 220! I love the novelties. I have a suggestion for a bowling stunt you might organize somehow. How about a trip in the Way-Back Machine, a throwback to bowling as it used to be on tv. Like Championship Bowling. Wooden lanes. Oil applied by hand. Black rubber bowling balls. Don’t skimp on the bowling balls. Plug and redrill to fit properly. Old fashioned King Louie style bowling shirts. Get a “bowling expert” to narrate, comment, and do a post game summary and presentation of the cash winnings for the game. I’m sure you must have seen old time tv bowling shows on KZbin. Maybe viewers will have fun seeing how the game has changed. I think it would be fun for one video.

They made them in the 1980s. Very few people purchased them, even when we finally put them on sale for next to nothing. As soon as finger holes are drilled in them, they look like someone stuck 3 pegs in them. Also, it takes little time for them to get scratched up and the luster dulls out.
