ETNZ, my great friends from Down Under: you made it, you kept up with your own self imposed challenge and you won. Sir Peter is certainly quite happy, as well as many other ETNZ fans around the Globe. One single comment: BRAVO. From Pierre A Varreon, Paris, France

Geat job ! many congratulations .... looks like the outrigger wheel system acts as a second wing too ... wheel high above the ground .... during max speed .?... not sure of the rules for the speed record and this make a difference ...Q do all wheels need to be on the ground at time of record timing recorded ? ....
@AntiVaganza2 жыл бұрын
nope to all wheels on the ground, and if you wanted you could (I think) have 2 or a million wheels. I don't know if the windward outrigger wing produces lift/negative lift or is purely designed for minimal drag. Would be interesting to know, though.
@CarkeekW2 жыл бұрын
the out rig has no downforce, it was explained on another thread that it is better for top speed to have less aero drag and higher static loads / weight in the outer pod, you just need more room to accelerate to your potential due to higher mass

can you share a GPS track of the record? how many km did it take to reach the maximum speed? Is the wind speed constant throughout the spot? Have you reached the physical limits of the spot? it's an exceptional undertaking, we want to know everything we can
