It's clearly capable. Biggest thing Piet pointed out is spotting your misses.

it's a great caliber. if the targets don't have hit indicators it's going to be a pain in the ass for spotter to see whether you hit the target or not. Like Piet said, 223 bullet doesn't move the plates at all beyond 300m or so.

@@sakusalo-tuisku4305 maybe if the plates are huge. I have a 6x6 plate and a 3" circle plate @ 400 yards and they swing quite a bit any time you hit them. I routinely have to ride out there and fix the stands from falling over because of how much the plate swings.

People massively underestimate the mighty little .223. Its a fantastic round for any target shooting out to even 1k yards.

Great shooting! Can't wait for centerfire PRS season to kick off here. (Two more weeks.) I took up rimfire PRS this year and wow! What a great time that is! Running a CZ 457 pro varmint (16.5" barrel), PST gen ii and SK match ammo. We shoot out to around 270 meters on the long courses. What is funny is on the centerfire side I run gas gun but rimfire I run bolt. (Obviously) I'm really starting to enjoy the bolt gun life. I'm afraid I see a bolt gun in my future for centerfire. lol

I’ve been trying to find out if you can fit the MDT 2 round, breaker wing, and mirage shield all on at the same time and this is the first time I’ve seen the wing and mirage on together. Looks like it you can’t which is a bummer. I see you can do the 2 round stick on but I already own the mdt model so I hate to not be able to use it.

I’ve shot my 223 in several matches. 75 ELD at 2960 fps. 1000 yards and in it isn’t giving anything up to a Dasher.

What powder you running to get those speeds, Im shooting the 80gr and only getting 2660fps with Varget before blowing primers

@@IMPACTSHOOTING I’m running Varget. 25.1 grs was 2960 in my last barrel. My current one is fast at 3001 fps with the same charge. I’m currently using lapua brass but I was able to get the same speeds with cheap FC brass too. Running a .093” freebore.
