Camera microphone and it's amp is doing level normalization so you do not hear difference as in real life. They have sort of compressor logic in it and tries to shave off the peaks. Plus KZbin compression on top of it. It is suppressor definitely. People very often think those units make it so silent that you can shoot few feet's away and no one will notice. That is is not the case with most of the suppressors. Got to love how long barrel makes it more effective. Great demonstration.

Mic's tend to deaden loud sounds somewhat. Would be interesting to see the results using a "dB meter" (even a phone app meter)
@rodneyws19772 ай бұрын
I bought a sound meter off Amazon and did some testing with ammo and the one suppressor I had at the time (Banish 22). Shooting a subsonic round from a VQ Mini Mamba (basically a Ruger Mark IV clone), I measured 96.3 dB and when I switched to CCI Quiets (that wouldn't cycle in the gun) I got down to 96.1 dB. Both were spooky quiet and the sound pressure that was measured was certainly the noise escaping due to the cycling of the gun. I have a single shot 22 rifle with a threaded barrel and I need to get a measurement on that suppressed. I've shot it plenty, but just never bothered measuring it. The ringing of steel at 50 yards is way louder than all of the other sounds that gun makes suppressed. Shot a Henry 22 pump with CCI Quiets and was at 101 dB without a suppressor. Also, easily hearing safe.

Curious, but what’s the difference between a clip and a magazine? Is clip just slang? Or is there a physical difference?
@ZaneDouglas1 Жыл бұрын
A clip is a piece of metal, usually a strip or block, that holds several rounds together from at the base of the cartridges, aligned in one or two rows. Ammunition clips usually come from the factory with the ammo already affixed to the clip. The clip is inserted into a firearm or into a permanently affixed magazine that is inside the firearm, and after the rounds are shot, the clip is ejected or removed and usually discarded. Well known firearms that use clips are the M1903 Springfield and the M1 Garand. A magazine on the other hand, is a spring fed device that feeds rounds into the chamber of the firearm. It can either be permanently affixed inside the firearm (usually called an internal box magazine), or it can be detachable, which can be repeatedly inserted and removed. Common firearms like Glock pistols and AR-15 rifles both use detachable magazines.
