why did they change the name Zaire to Dr Congo?

ayambila anyagire, they brought back the former name of Zaire from 1964: DR Congo. So it used to be DR Congo before the former president Mobutu in 1971 tried to change the name of everything in the country few years later he had taken the power( took it in 1965). So also, remember the country name was always Congo before Europeans and the independence from Belgium in 1960. The name of Congo was after “the kingdom Kongo” before colonisation, in central part of Africa: actual Congo, DR Congo and now Angola.

It seems Nigeria team at the time hasn't had a player who can dispossess, hold( dribble) and distribute ball. This where Okocha perfectly fits in. Amokachi tried to fill the gap here though but he's more of a striker. Nice game!
