Hey girl! Just wanted to jump in the comments and let you know that you should never feel like you’re “wasting quality paper” or wasting any material by using it, even if it turns out to be the worst piece you’ve ever done. It’s all a learning experience and without using those materials and experimenting with different techniques then you can’t grow as an artist. I used to feel the same exact way. I was a broke college student and my professors kept asking me why I didn’t do more, why I didn’t do larger pieces, why I didn’t experiment more or use more of my supplies & I told them I didn’t want to waste them. I didn’t have money to continuously spend on expensive materials. They explained to me that you have to keep experimenting and trying new things with all of your materials and if you don’t you cannot grow or learn, once that finally clicked for me, I have improved exponentially. You’re an amazing artist, I love your work, but don’t ever be down or hard on yourself for using up materials. You’re doing great!

Absolutely!! I remember doing my first ever painting on 640gsm paper (which was way more expensive than 300gsm) and it was awful haha I had to get used to what I was working on! I was so hard on mystified but I would never paint the illustrations I do now without that first painting! Now that I have the skills I feel like I need to use the paper to the best of my ability but maybe some paintings are meant to be more simple 😌

My advice to improve a painting without taking ten hours painting every detail is to study colour and comp as hard as you can, thumbnailng ideas to see the ideal composition and testing the colour pallets will guarantee improvement for anyone at any skill level

​@@chantalleonhardt I've noticed this happening multiple times a video, including the other ones on your channel. I wonder if it's the editing software you're using, are the video files getting corrupted somehow when you export them? Whatever the issue is, it's been affecting many of your videos, just so you're aware Edit: it also happens at 1:19, 11:03, 14:09, and 14:25

Thank you so much for letting me know 😮 ❤ I changed the location of my export for my last two videos so I reckon that could be the problem!! Going to investigate today and fix it for next week because I spend soo much time on these videos and don’t see these glitches on my computer 🥲🥰🫶
