The mine at Summerlee is a reconstruction of a small-scale drift mine of a type commonly found in Lanarkshire during the inter-war years.
Nearby is the much earlier Farme Colliery Engine of 1810 which can be seen near the end of the film.
This film was made for Summerlee Museum by the Monklands Camera Club.
