In Episode 23, Ellen Connor, Boxing Coach, Advocate for Women's Boxing and Non-Profit Founder talks about how she discovered Boxing in her 30's and had a new lease on life and how her young daughter bored at Karate class would wander downstairs to hit the bag. In 2016, she took her daughter to Beautiful Brawlers, an all Female Fight Series based in Pacifica, California. By the next year she looked at the event and tried to see how she could do something similar to bring opportunities to female fighters in Canada. We talk about a variety of topics including the recent historic fight at Madison Square Garden, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano and the upcoming West Coast Wonder Women event on Friday, May 20 - Sunday, May 22 in Sooke, BC.
