they were together then they had some problems, JP wanted a child (probabily to fix problems), they had one thorugh a surrogate, and Craig left because it was too much, so JP went back home

I will only like JP and Patrick (the principal) if it is not another secret affair, this will be just another repetitive story line for JP. I think JP and Doug will go on a date or 2 but as soon as Doug hears about JP and Craig history it will come to an end and they will become friends
